I am pleased to post my blood report dated 2nd Dec, 2020.

I was following a whole plant food since last 2- months based upon principles of Cyrus khambatta's book "Mastering diabetes".

I could attach only one screen shot image of the lipid profile.... as this is the first time ín my life I have seen such a Lipids parameters (without statin)....... I have result of many other parameters. May be in subsequent posts I will attach some more relevant lab reports ...

A few more numbers are given here :

Fasting blood sugar 80 mg/dL

PP- 118 mg/dL

HBA1C 6.0

hsCRP is 0.1 mg/L ( with LCHF, my hsCRP used to be more than 3).....even my lipids went totally out of range with LCHF diet

My BP remains at 110/70 with whole plant based diet without any BP medicine.

My BMI currently at 20

If someone is interested to know any other blood parameters , I will be glad to let you know or share my report with you. If anyone intersted to know my current life style conditions , please feel free to ask me that, though you can also read my previous posts and messages in respond to many posts.

Apart from whole plant based food, I also do a 14 hour fasting from 6 PM to 8 AM (you need to be careful if you are prone to hypo....before starting Intermittent fasting , you need to control your hypo first)......however 12 hour fasting is something (8 PM to 8 AM ) which every one should be able to do it . That is why the name breakfast ....break your Fast .. .I. . ............Ifsomeone is over-weight /obese or even if he is towards higher end of BMI, fasting for 14-18 hours with Whole plant food can reverse his diabetic conditions with sustainable weight loss... I am confident about the science..👍I

My routine starts when Iget up at 5 AM sharp to do Yoga, Pranayam for 1 hour to one and half hour. Post meal treadmill of 15-20 mnts is also a routine I always follow .

Disclaimer: Before going for a whole plant based food , you need to understand the entire science.. you need to know your insulin status. Please read the following 3 posts thoroughly.

Also before starting your whole plant food programme, you must also read the mastering diabetes website and better you buy the book written by Cyrus khambatta . It took me 4 months to fully understand the science. So no hurry, you need to first understand , appreciate , have conviction and then start your whole plant food programme on gradual basis, if you are never a vegetarian....and never never stop your current medication all of a sudden without consulting your physician......it need to be gradual.......

You need to attack all the 7 parameters of insulin resistance..as mentioned in one of the post below and whole plant food holistically help you to achieve that.

May God bless you 🙏

Dear sribiri

# My total cholesterol before I started Whole plant low fat diet was hovering around 200.

#Now it is around d 140-150

# Since when you started whole plant food? you need to give some.

It appears that you still continue to have some kind of body inflammation due to some kind of saturated fat entering your diet, though 210 total cholesterol is not very high and with this kind of whole plant food- you need to eat a varieties of plant food available round the year...., total cholesterol is expected to come down below 150 for most people if they follow the dietary discipline and life style change (you may see my various posts)

# Having said that, what works for me may or may not workout for you since our metabolic conditions, beta cell status, and other health conditions are different. Whole plant food and me are made for each other. 😊

# In this forum, there is hardly anyone practicing whole plant food, so you may not get any feedback /experience of other members.

# If you want to understand experience of many more people with different varying health conditions, you please make it a practise to visit the Facebook page of (free) mastering diabetes public forum so that you keep getting practical and personal experience with Lab reports liberally posted in the forum.... So that you can relate your health conditions with others...

May God bless you...

Thanks so much! It was on your suggestion that I read cyrus khambatta book Mastering Diabetes. Just started a 10 days back. I am transitioning to his life style. Increased fruits, avoiding any added oil or sugar. I am finding it difficult to quit milk in coffee/ Tea.

Couple of days back I had blood test done. Fasting/PP/a1c was 98/91/6 . I am on metformin 850SR.

Cholesterol at 210. I guess I need to wait for at least 3 months to see results.

Thanks

Dear Mr sribri

Good to hear that your numbers are good with plant based diet.

Total Cholesterol is expected to comedown to 140-150 ...please check after 3 months.

Little bit of milk with tea is ok if you can not avoid....limit to 1-2 cups a day unless you have lactose intolerance........,

I don't take tea at all....🙂

What is important is you need to take some fermented food like tempeh, natto, kimchi , sauerkraut.....but unfortunately these are not readily available in india.. and so I am exploring if I can take either probiotic supplement or 1 cup of curd a day... though the mastering diabetes diet strictly don't allow dairy.

If you are taking metformin, ensure you take b12 vitamin after consulting your doctor.

Dr Greger, world expert on Nutrition recommends 2000 mcg of cyanocobalamin - 1 tablet once in a week for everybody....diabetes and non diabetes ...because people don't get this vitamin from dietary sources...another vitamin supplement is Vit D , if you are deficient ...or else just sunlight exposure 20 mnts during noon 3 times a week will do the magic for most people.

Also as i said, everybody is different ..health conditions are different... and therefore different diet react differently with different persons. Even some people in that forum report allergic reaction to some particular vegetables fruits....as they start all of a sudden eating all whole plant food ...so one needs to figure it out and avoid these food ...

For example, I noticed in the forum some one is allergic to Gluten , they can not take wheat..... someone allergic to spinach, and someone to cauliflower / brocolli , someone allergic to high fructose fruits .....but someone is able to take all kinds of fruits .....I am selectively ok with almost all fruits and vegetables with few exceptions like banana and mango.....not that it spikes my blood sugar , but because I just don't like it ...also I am allergic to radish, raw onion.... Fortunately there are 100's of alternatives in whole plant food...you get varieties.

To have 100's of views on this diet from actual users, and to know how different whole plant food is prepared & consumed and how plant food is behaving differently with different health conditions , please do visit (free) mastering diabetes Facebook page,......please do visit regularly ... You can also ask a question and members with different health conditions there will help you with answers..you can also relate your conditions ...you will learn a lot.....

May god bless you....
