How low Carbohydrate does your diet need to be?
Depending on your medical history of Diabetes,
Insulin
Resistance
, Obesity and non-communicable diseases like cancer, the "usual low-carbohydrate advice" would be: No food (fasting) No carbs (Keto is close to no carbs) No refined carbs or sugar Low carb or Low-Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) Reduced Carbohydrates

Insulin Sensitivity Important to Long Life.
Having more muscle is highly correlated to long life, and that is connected to
insulin
sensitivity. And of course I exercise regularly, doing
resistance
training twice a week for 30 minutes at a time. (And go for walks on my off-days.)

Thyroid and other labs
I have not changed my diet, but wonder if I am too much T3 for my needs, and that in turn has lead to
insulin
resistance
(according to the site and book Tired Thyroid, excess T3 levels can cause
insulin
resistance
)?

Light cases for portable nebuliser?
I just bought a Beurer IH55 portable neb, as my Omron Microair U100 had some problems with the medication container and needs to go back - I was already looking at a back up. (If anyone wants to know, the Omron is faster but so far I find the Beurer easier to use - but only one use with it). The Omron

Questions, unanswered questions and implied questions ?
We all have unanswered questions. we all ask one question and see if we can find the correct answer! What is fasting blood glucose test and ? What is HbA1c1 blood test and why? Is there a new guide line to HbA1c level? How is insulin dosage calculated? Is life style change and regular exercise important

I ran across this yesterday on a diabetes website, didn't know if any of you might be interested: https://www.ontrackdiabetes.com/related-conditions/sleep/diabetes-restless-leg-syndrome This article assumes the iron connection and suggests that diabetes among other conditions affect how much iron gets

Pregnant, RA and headaches
Afternoon all. I am 16 weeks pregnant and was diagnosed with RA approx. 4 weeks ago. I have been given Hydroxychloroquine and Sulfasalazine (4 Tablets a day) which I have been taking for approx. 3.5 weeks. I was feeling fine on them until last week and now I seem to get chronic headaches and neck pain

HbA1c Sweet Spot - Type I
A new piece of research has found the ideal HbA1c for Type I diabetes is from 6.5 - 6.9 to avoid complications. It appears that if a lower figure is achieved with frequent hypos retinopathy becomes more likely. Type IIs on medication that does not cause hypos can obviously go somewhat lower. Life has

Would like input from people who have tried Saxenda (especially people with hypothyroidism)
A few years ago, I was diagnosed with
insulin
resistance
(borderline high fasting blood glucose and
insulin
levels) and my doctor offered Metformin. Having read about the side effects, I decided to try Berberine instead as it has shown to be as effective as prescription drugs.

So I've been for my long overdue annual visit to my hormone doctor in Belgium and I have to admit I received quite a lot of confusing and even contradictory advice that I would love for members to comment on: First of all, when it comes to my massive weight gain (+25 kg) since being treated with high
