Light cases for portable nebuliser?

I just bought a Beurer IH55 portable neb, as my Omron Microair U100 had some problems with the medication container and needs to go back - I was already looking at a back up. (If anyone wants to know, the Omron is faster but so far I find the Beurer easier to use - but only one use with it).

The Omron comes with a neat little nylon zip case which I can put in my handbag while still protecting the neb. The Beurer has this huge rigid case with foam and compartments, despite being a similar size to the Omron. It might be safer but it's not very portable despite the neb being marketed as such - I like to be able to carry my portable in my handbag in case I get surprised by triggers etc, and the Beurer case would be annoying enough in my backpack!

Does anyone have any suggestions about what I could use to put the Beurer neb and mask in, or solved this issue themselves? Cases designed for portable nebs seem to be non-existent (I keep finding insulin ones), so I was thinking maybe a travel cosmetic or toiletry case if I can find one in the right size. I also want to put the nebules and batteries in the case (plus the mains adapter for longer trips), so some pockets useful.

EDITED to add photo of what I went for. Link is in my latest reply. Can only add one pic here, top part has the nebules and batteries.

You might find something light and with pockets in an outdoorsy ( camping) or travel shop. Somewhere like Millets or Rohan.

Thanks - hadn't thought of that! I wonder if there are enough takers to fill this niche gap in the market for neb cases...

And they may not, of course, have anything suitable! Computer accessories place may be another place worth trying. Cases /bags for computer bits.

I'm looking at buying a beurer IH55 as I need something to carry in my bag. I looked at the omron but saw that it had reliability issues. Would you mind giving me the dimensions of the carry case please?

I I can't think of an alternative other than maybe cases that photographers use?

Hi, it's about 16x13x5 cm for the Omron case (soft nylon) and 22x22x10 for the Beurer case (rigid). I took a picture but can't work out how to upload! The Omron does fit very nicely in a medium to larger size handbag and is faster than the Beurer, but doesn't seem to work as well from all angles as they claim and I do get some left in the bottom. It may be worth giving Evergreen a call as they are very helpful and have great customer service (were responding to me the other evening!)

I will update if I find a good case for the Beurer and try to send a link.

I have the Innospire Go and it's in a pencil case because I also couldn't find a nice case for it.

Ooh that's an idea! Maybe I will look in WHSmith as well as Boots (was thinking Boots for make up bag might work).

With all the neb users in the USA, you'd think someone over there would have started creating cases!

I use a make up bag for mine (these also benefit from usually being waterproof too 😅)

Aha yes! I have part of a microfibre cloth in my pencil case for drips!

Yes someone SHOULD have invented us a case though.

I have had an idea - you can buy empty cases for first aid kits which seem to be about the right size and have pockets inside. If I find one which works I'll post a link.

I carry mine around in a small rucksack after trying a few other bags. It’s padded and well protected. I get in everything I need, car charger cable, adapters etc not forgetting the medications!

So this is what I went for in the end and it seems to work ok! The internal dividers don't quite work, but I adapted to make it work and it gives me a space to fit the mains adapter if needed (I don't plan to carry around every day). The pockets have room for cleaning wipes (I clean properly at home but like to give a wipe before using if I can't fully clean while out), nebules and spare batteries.

Lysistrata,

Right. I have the almost same issue. I replaced from my Omron U22V with the U100. That came with a very nice soft-sided case, except for its size. It is about 13 x 13 x 5 cm. The new U100 does not quite fit into the case from the U22V. I have searched for another case and I have not found one. I checked with Omronhealthcare and they do not have a hard sided case. 😞

So it isn't hard-sided, but since I wrote this I found this range of pencil cases on Amazon (see link below). I can fit the Omron U100 into this with room to spare, plus batteries, nebules and cleaning wipes. It also fits into the smaller version (I like to keep it portable so I don't need a massive handbag).

After experimenting, I can also just about get a Beurer IH55 and mask (both bigger than the Omron U100) into both. I think I would be able to get an Innospire Go in too, which I have my eye on as the Beurer is slow and the Omron drives me nuts.
