Hi I am a newbie today. Have read lots of the posts which are very informative. I’ve had under active for 15 years and have never been given my scores. I will certainly ask next time. I’m also type 2 diabetic just started insulin and was hoping to link up with others on the forum to discuss if thyroid affects your diabetic meds? I also used to have B12 injections regularly but doc has stopped this due to cutbacks saying I do not need this injection.

Welcome to our forum and am sorry you've got both hypothyroidism and diabetes.
Members who have both diabetes/hypo will respond when they read your post.
Re B12 injections. There must have been a deficiency of B12 if you were given B12 injections. Did the doctor test for Pernicious Anaemia? He should have done because if we have a low B12, we have to have a special test which diagnosis P.A. or B12 deficiency. If we have P.A. in no way does a doctor or specialist remove our injections.
All blood tests for thyroid hormones have to be at the very earliest, fasting (you can drink water) and allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levothyroxine and the test and take it afterwards.
Always ask for a copy of your results after a blood test and the ranges must also be stated otherwise members cannot respond.
I started metformin yesterday after chemotherapy blew my diet controlled Type 2 measure away .
Shaws has given good advice. You have a right to your test results.
