When to switch from EOD to weekly or twice weekly?
Hi Family, this site has been more helpful than my GP and anyone else! Thank you all.. I’ve been injecting 1ml methylcobalamin EOD, for 3 months, the days that I inject and the days that I don’t inject my symptoms are about the same, numbness in hands, arm, some in legs, weak muscles. Should I try

GP refusing to offer IFAB Test
I recently requested and Intrinsic Factor Antibody test with my GP and was told there's no need to do this test if my Parietal Cell antibody test was negative/normal. The Parietal Cell test was done in Jan 2021 and I assumed the IFAB was done at the same time and also came back normal. (I was unaware

Did we ever get an answer to the person who had PV and Anemia?
I have a new Hemoc Doc and my HCT is 45, my old doc wanted me under 45. Since I was HCT 45 this week I called to ask about a TP. He thought now then said go ahead. The issue is, I am on 500 mg Hydreaa 2xs per day.I think I am anemic. I know I need to be low on iron but my scores wereFeritin 3.8Iron

Iron Readings
The figures that are given for sufficient iron amounts never seem to tie up with the sorts of figures that I get from my blood tests. Can anyone tell me if I have sufficient iron for my RLS (currently taking 300mg of Pregabalin). Thank you so very very much. Sally 07-Oct-2022 TOT. IRON BIND CAPACITY

Iron Infusion coming up
I have an iron infusion coming up next week, but I'm getting a bit nervous about it. This is because my RLS symptoms seem to be getting better in the last few weeks. maybe due to the iron supplements. As of the last blood test, maybe a month ago, my Ferritin level was at 26, which is within the

Using Oxford Biosciences Methylcobalamin as safely as possible
Obviously injecting from a multi use vial with a screw top lid is a less than ideal situation, but it seems that this is currently the only way to obtain injectable methylcobalamin. Do any users take any special precautions to reduce the risk of contamination? I was wondering about purchasing some

How do we know which disease is causing it? To cut a long story short , I have been seen by a neurologist to investigate the peripheral neuropathy from my diagnosis of pernicious anaemia. He ordered a brain and neck MRI and blood tests and I got the results today . I have severe stenosis of my cervical

Treating anaemia alongside thyroid medication
Having been on T3 only for about 8 months, I have made some massive strides in terms of my general health. Most of the symptoms that had me at my absolute lowest ebb, have gone. However, if one remains it is a general feeling of weakness. I used to weight lift 4 - 5 times a week before thyroid illness

Blood cell size and shape data?
I've now been on Rux/Jakafi for about six weeks. My blood count numbers haven't changed in the last two weeks, so may be stabilizing at or near normal levels. I'll be more confident about this after my next blood work in two weeks. That being said, I wonder if anyone can enlighten me as to the meaning

muscle fasciculations from low b12
I had low b12 and received the b12 injections, currently I now have muscle fasciculations. Has anybody else had these as a lasting affect ? have had these constant muscle twitches and spasms for approx 6 weeks. How long before all the neurological issues repair them selves ?

Advice please.
I was diagnosed with PA in 2006 after having a blood transfusion due to low haemoglobin. I was given the loading dose of b12 and then continued to have them every 8-12 weeks. I was also prescribed 5mg folic acid daily. In 2015 I seemed to develop a sensitivity to my b12 injections (hives, hot flushed

Folate research
I came across an article in Medscape that descibes a research project involving folate. The research examined existing data. Here is the link for the article. I hope it is available to everyone. https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/981832 Quoted here is the only part of the article that mentions B12
