B12 next steps - advice please
Hi - I have also posted this in the Pernicious Anaemia section but I know there is also some good knowledge within this group too. I have autoimmune hypothyroidism. Following a disappointing Endo appointment I wrote a detailed email to request an appointment with the Consultant as I felt I hadn’t had

Liver pain, elevated liver enzymes and ultrasound
Hello everyone. My boyfriend has been complaining of pain under his lower right rib. Pain was not severe just on and off. He got his blood test done and results showed elevated liver enzymes. He was booked for an ultrasound. We are waiting for the results but really scared. He is 39 and healthy overall

bloods walloped by severe gastrointestinal infection, anyone?
Hi lovelies, I was hospitalised for severe infection last week, which with antibiotics is now better. But my white blood cell count has plummeted to the point hospital has put me under lockdown, and went even lower after 3 filgrastim injections although haematology say sometimes their effect is delayed

Medichecks ferritin range 30-650 ug/L
I have been having trouble for years with low ferritin, despite eating black pudding 3 times a week and taking ferrous fumarate. This last week got full thyroid blood tests back and thought ‘oh good , ferritin had gone up a bit to a decent 77’, but no, the range had been changed to a huge 30-650 ug/L

Anaemia test results
Hi all, I recently did the 'Full health screen' from Monitor My Health and all the vitamin results have come back without proper ranges. Only the graphs. Which is irritating. BUT Would you supplement iron with these results? I can't afford to do a full iron panel, and I had assumed this test would

Milk thistle - anything to be aware of?
A recent blood panel came back with slightly raised liver enzymes (marginally above the range), for reasons I am looking into. I have read about the benefits of milk thistle supplementation with respect to helping with both liver and thyroid matters. On the whole, the consensus seems to be that it

Low B12 raised CRP - new to this
hi all. I was recently diagnosed with B12 deficiency (level of 67), and am about to have my last of 5 loading doses today. I can’t say I’ve felt too much of an improvement and still have brain fog, dizziness and tingling in my hands and feet amongst other things. Will this improve as the b12 gets to

Pernicious Anemia and Endicrine
I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency in the spring of 2021. I was initially placed on a regimen of B12 injections appropriate for patients with blood symptoms. Eventually I read enough to discover the difference in treatment for patients with blood symptoms vs nerve symptoms, and since August of 2021

Iron results-any advice?
Hi! V grateful for all the wisdom from this forum. Just did a full iron panel on Medichecks as ferritin has been consistently low, and I've been on and off ferrous fumarate for years. GP only tests ferritin; advice on here seemed to be to get the full picture. Results below... Ferritin much better

Low MCHC
Hello all. I have a new aspect of my cbc report that has just become Low. It is MCHC. Normal is 31.0 gm/dL to 36.5. I am now 30.7. I would love comments from any others who have had low MCHC. Did you eventually need oxygen. Did they start treatment due to this? How low can it go before you physically
