Cryotech for pain.
I just saw a tv segment on using cryotechnology for pain relief. Apparently you are exposed to nitrogen generated cold for three minutes to temperatures of -200 to -250 degrees. Has anyone tried this for cancer pain relief?

APL-130277 still without FDA Approval: Why?
Apomorphine is a somewhat strange Dopamine Agonist (non-egoline DA Parky B!) that required subcutaneous injections. It certainly hasn't been a mainline DA prescription in the USA. Docetaxel rechallenge
Hi all, I'm considering speaking with my MO about a possible Docetaxel rechallenge. My last Docetaxel (5 years ago) session of 6 courses brought my psa down to 0.05 from the 700's. I'm finishing my Provenge treatment this week and being that my psa is on the rise, (0.9), I'm at a crossroads. Does anyone

Nifedipine/ Coracten
Hi, I've been on Nifedipine 20mg (Adalat Retard) twice daily for about 5 years to help control painful spasms in my forearms related to Raynauds/Scleroderma. I'm also on Carbamazepine, Aspirin, Co-codamol, and Illoprost every 6 months. The recent change to Coracten I think has led to side effects which

Grapefruit Juice dosing, another perspective
Yesterday I had a rather extensive conversation with my acupuncturist regarding the use of grapefruit juice. Two weeks ago I shared with him the N=1 study published by Wriga on this forum. Michael was familiar with the issues. He has used grapefruit peels in the preparation of TCM medications. Also

NICE Guidance - your feedback needed
Hello All NICE are looking at developing guidance for 'Cytoreduction surgery followed by hyperthermic intraoperative peritoneal chemotherapy for peritoneal carcinomatosis'. If any of you had HIPEC during surgery when your cancer had spread to the peritoneal cavity, your comments would be greatly valued

Egg collection Friday 🤞🏼
So second monitoring scan today shows my lucky 7 follicles all growing nicely. Measuring between 10mm & 18mm. So advice from Clinic is to have last shot of gonal f tonight & trigger. Egg Collection Friday. They’re worried if we were to leave it until Monday as originally planned that we will lose

Cinnamon brings new hope for Parkinson’s Disease
"According to many studies cinnamon helps prevent cellular damage to the area of the brain that causes Parkinson’s." My friend has been using cinnamon and I'd begun to believe that his success was due to properties of Sodium benzoate and how they acted in the gut. I thought that the antibacterial activities

First round fun
Hi all I have been coming on this site for a long time reading all your posts and scouting for information! Now after a long old NHS wait we are 26 days into Synarel sniffing and 5days in to 375iu Gonal F injections. I’ve had lots of headaches, mood swings and hot flushes throughout but... oh my!

Artificial sweetened Cola drinks rapid relief?
Hi, i was dx with PD in 2014, and started out with selegilin and Requip (dopamin agonist), later adding L-DOPA (Madopar/Sinemet) and entakapon. Altogether enabling me to work full time, and I am convinced this would not be possible without such a «cocktail». Still, episodes of fatigue with loss

First Monitoring Scan - Great results 👌🏻
Over the moon to find out today, right ovary showing 6 measurable follicles and left ovary showing 1 measurable. I have been anxious all week as my last cycle only had 2 measurable follicles using Menopur. This time with Gonal F stimming only 6 days and 3 days buserelin - well to get these results

Right side of body tingling?
Hi all, I wondered if I could ask advice. I’ve been having three monthly injections for 9 years. Usually if I’m a couple days out my hands and feet start to tingle. I have been so busy lately, and somehow realised my injection was three weeks overdue!!! I had it on Wednesday, but I don’t feel any better

Feeling disheartened
Went for first baseline scan yesterday and my womb lining is too thick. Was supposed to start gonal f today but instead I'm too continue on burserelin and have another scan on 26th. Feeling worried because hospital said if lining does not thin out we will have to abandon cycle and start again. But I
