Right side of body tingling?

Hi all, I wondered if I could ask advice. I’ve been having three monthly injections for 9 years. Usually if I’m a couple days out my hands and feet start to tingle. I have been so busy lately, and somehow realised my injection was three weeks overdue!!! I had it on Wednesday, but I don’t feel any better. My right leg and arm is really painful? Tingling and aching. And also my left hand tingling. I’m waking up with headaches. It’s like I haven’t had the injection at all.

I’m going back to the doctors tomorrow but I just didn’t know if I’ve done some nerve damage with the injection being three weeks late! I feel awful!

Hopefully it's the b12 doing its job. Rest and try and go with it. Perhaps have another in a week ? To get your symptoms back in control before going back to your regime youve had for years .

My experience is the lower your B12 got before the injection, the worse the symptoms from the jab are after the jab.

I’m not medically trained but You need more frequent injections so you don’t become deficient and stick to the schedule.

To get through the symptoms after the jab, I’ve disagree with Nackapan (sorry Nackapan) and have found bed rest just seems to make me feel worse.

You are dealing with nerve repair symptoms and gentle range of motion exercises help the brain recalibrate faster to the stronger signals coming in over the repaired nerves. Pin and needles, increased Pain, nausea, hunger, are hard to deal with but if you can recognize them as illusions of nerve repair and not worry about them, by getting on with what you need to do, they somehow just disappear.

The hardest part is just getting started. It takes the brain about 3 days to recalibrate. Stress and worry make this last longer and seem more severe. Convincing yourself that they are nerve repair symptoms and therefore “good” indication is the start. The recalibration then goes faster.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this. It sounds like being 3 weeks late on your shot caused some damage to your nerves. They will likely recover in time. You may need some additional b12. I’m not sure the issue of rest vs. activity is so simple. I think you have to see how it affects you. I’ve been dealing with tingling in my hands and feet fore 2 years as I try to heal and it is definitely worse if I overexert myself or don’t get enough rest. I think it does take a lot of energy to heal. If you are routinely experiencing signs of neuropathy before or after your injection, I think that is a sign you do need to have your injections more frequently. The idea is to keep you well supplied with B12 and not having any damage to recover from.

I am sorry that you are experiencing these symptoms. Do not worry about nerve damage as you are now on your maintenance dose from past nine years. But please be on time in taking injections. For symptoms, please try to do some exercise also, your brain will feel happy and fresh and your adverse effect will go in 10-15 days.

-I am also on B12 injections in every three months from past 7 years and I also feel the same weird symptoms of bad feeling and nerve unhealthiness. Just try to ignore and involve yourself in work. Feel happy and do not think about the disease as your brain will process the same what you think.

Please let me know how you are feeling and do not worry about anything. You are not alone fighting with this disease. I am also with you along with many people around the globe.

take care

Sam
