The vitamin B6 paradox: Supplementation with high concentrations of pyridoxine leads to decreased vitamin B6 function
The taking of B-complexes, and of just B6, has often been disussed here. I, along with several others, have pointed out that high doses of B6 should be avoided as they can cause neuropathy - one of the symptoms that it is sometimes taken to help relieve. This paper, from 2017 and hitherto completely

Burning feeling in feet
Just a quick question, do any of you suffer from 'burning' feet? Mine used to be dreadful, I'd have to sleep with my feet outside the bedcovers even on the coldest night. I realised after I'd been diagnosed and on Levo for a while that they weren't so bad so assumed the problem was hypo related. Unfortunately

Really anxious - please help about Gonal F storeage temperature.
Hello I’ve had such confusing and conflicting info about the temperatures I need to keep my injections at. Can anyone help me... I’ve been told that I need to keep the Gonal F pen in the fridge until it’s first use. And then after it’s first use it can be kept at room temperature until it’s finished

How many times were you tested before you got treated for your thyroid problem?
I finally found out my most recent TSH level result today which was 4.52 (this was a test done 2 months ago - having another done next week) I was seeing GP for another reason and asked. Have been really suffering with dog tiredness, absent mindedness and general malaise for at least 2 years - first

Peripheral Neuropathy and Sunshine
Hello, I suffer from severe small fibre neuropathy, worst in my legs and feet. I take pregabalin and sometimes codeine which calms it at night. Find summertime difficult as even a small amount of sun on my legs and feet causes a massive flare up of pain. Even happens through jeans or skirts. I can't

Reducing tocilizumab injections
I was told to try to take my tocilizumab injections every 4 weeks but struggled so much I have taken this last one after 3 weeks, before that 3 1/2 weeks twice. Does anyone have any experience of reducing the injections. I am feeling increasingly ill, sweating, extreme tiredness - signs the GCA is back

Does a clomid-only IVF cycle work?
Hello again, Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Sending love to everyone who is on this crazy journey! I am trying to decide between two clinics for my third cycle. One clinic thinks I should have a clomid-only cycle (minimal stimulation) and the other clinic wants me to take low-doses of Gonal

Why should not we increase L-Dopa bioavailability in the Brain
After watching this video you will find out why you shouldn’t manipulate the L Dopa bioavailability in the brain. https://youtu.be/_eq28PCvfsg You are trying to balance something but you will end up messing with the same thing, in this case the Dopamine.

Promising results for a GLP-1 receptor agonist. Exenatide group of PwP showed improved motor function in a randomised, double-blind trial.
I first read about GLP-1 receptor agonists recently. They are diabetes drugs. However, I immediately thought that they would be a great thing to try for Parkinson's. Why? Because GLP 1 receptor agonists can lower inflammation, calm microglial cells, and reduce programmed cell death. Well, it turned

Gabapentin for nerve pain
Hi folks! Still fighting the good fight and trying to get appropriate treatment for my other half who has a B12 deficiency that had obviously been going on for some time. Common Herbs With MAO Inhibitor Activity
MAOs, or monoamine oxidases, are enzymes that break down neurotransmitters and stop their messaging activity. MAO-A breaks down serotonin, epinephrine and norepinephrine; MAO-B deactivates dopamine. https://www.livestrong.com/article/82970-common-herbs-mao-inhibitor-activity/

Hello everyone, so just had my second failed cycle last week and after a few days of trying not to think about things too much I’m already thinking about round 3! I’m 44, AMH 2.75.
