I just saw a tv segment on using cryotechnology for pain relief.
Apparently you are exposed to nitrogen generated cold for three minutes to temperatures of -200 to -250 degrees. Has anyone tried this for cancer pain relief?

It seems to have good results, and may be especially useful when radiation can't be safely delivered there.
This helped my husband's bone pain before he had radiation last year. He did it as a stop-gap measure a few times while waiting for radiation to start. He loved it.
I tried it out of curiosity and couldn't withstand that intense cold for more than 30 seconds but they do build you up gradually to 3 mins. As I recall, my own pain (ITB issues from running) disappeared for about 3-4 days.
can it be used for picnics?
