Fractured foot on a run last week! Help!
I know I can do different types of sitting bicep curls and presses but any other suggestions on what I can do to keep some level of
fitness
up? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Exercise and Lupus?
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with getting into
fitness
and had any recommendations of the most gentle way to go about it whilst still making an actual difference (i am extremely bored of over a year of walks in my neighbourhood)!

10K bling
I hope that will be soon though and that I won't have lost (too much)
fitness
. But if needed, I'll just have to build up things again. That said, I after my 10K I treated myself to a 10K medal from VirtueelNL (see pic). It's a heavy piece of bling, but so nice.

Amongst other things my
fitness
age is 18 months less than my actual age. As a woman of a certain age that’s a definite plus! 😉 plus it says I can reduce it even more (5.5 years) if I increase my vigorous activity and lose that last pesky stone!!

How quickly do we become unfit?
The key to becoming fitter – whether that’s improving cardiovascular
fitness
or muscular strength – is to exceed “habitual load”. This means doing more than our body is used to.

Early morning 60 minute run ☀️🏃♀️😊
My aim is to get back to my former
fitness
and to be able to run longer distances again with relative ease. I did it before, so am determined to do it again! It was much easier today. I started very slowly and kept in Zone two for as long as as I could, probably about 1.5 kms.

Exercise on PD
My current question is how to regain my
fitness
. My PD nurse is not much help, just saying I should stick to walking. I'd love to go back to my strength training class but am concerned about exercises that focus on my "core" because of the PD catheter.

HHM Training - Week 3 Day 2
The weight is steadily coming off and I retain a certain level of
fitness
but I didn’t feel fit playing football on Sunday and I am concerned that running outside will sap the energy from my legs and lungs as it always has. We shall see!

Reflections on training to improve my 10k time or, more simply, to just be a stronger runner 😃
. 👍 Edit: This is another useful pace calculator that I use when targeting a specific time: https://www.active.com/

C25K the return: Week 2 completed!
Running is not just about my health and
fitness
for me, although they do need addressing. It’s such a wonderful tonic which really helps to support my wellbeing. I’ve soooo missed it!

Off meds and absolutely worried / relapsing?
I am aware that
fitness
/ artistic activities should help. But you guys knows how this is. You might have the rules in your mind, but then when it's time to actually DO something you just can't and go back to your bad habits or rituals. At least I can keep on socializing (I'm a very social)...

Stating from scratch after 3 months on the IC!
Its only now I look back and realise how fit I was before getting injured - it was great to be back out running, but wow have I lost a lot of
fitness
. Which I suppose it to be expected?

Back to square 1 😣
The knowledge that I’ve lost
fitness
too makes me miserable because it’s been hard to get to that point! So.... I’ve today done a brisk 4 k walk with bursts of running and burnt almost 300 calories.

Take 3
Working from home the majority of the week has really taken its toll on my daily step count and also my general
fitness
. I did C25K for the second time during lockdown last year and then slipped and landed on my knee - so couldn’t run for a while.

A Thursday 3K 😊☀️👍
Well, it’s a reasonable run, but better than that, I felt my former
fitness
isn’t too far away. If I keep on doing what I’m doing now, I’ll get there! 😊 Splits: 7:49, 7:17, 6:37
