So I started a 1350 calories a day diet last week and am using My
Fitness
Pal to track calories and nutrients. I am also walking everyday. I’m starting at 11st 7lbs and am 5ft 5ins. I am aiming for @10st 7lbs, which MFP tells me should take a at least a couple of months.

Anybody had an ICD removed for personal reasons?
and so the knock on effect has been weight gain, lack of
fitness
, pulling pains in my chest if I use my chest muscles and generally feeling a bit upset that I was talked in to having one fitted! I know that most people feel lucky to have these machines and therefore safer.

I'm back post-op and going to do it again!
Expecting to find it different this time- I still have the muscle memory how to run now and the cardio
fitness
level- which I didn't have the first time around, but expecting to tire much more easily generally. Anyone else here been through similar?

HHM Training - Week 4 Day 5
I didn’t feel much cardiovascular
fitness
today. When I did take a brief sojourn out of goal I got out of breath quite quickly. It’s probably just the cumulative effect of doing lots of training and I have to accept that I’m 58 with a lung condition and am still carrying weight.

HHM Training - Week 4 Days 1 & 2
Sure I was fatigued and sweating and I was running quite hard, but I feel like my
fitness
is where it should be…despite a still epic stomach. The balloon is slowly deflating but my God, I’m seriously appalled I didn’t notice myself reaching this epic size.

fitness
(VO2peak) for 12 weeks.

Moved house, new shoes, this heat is killing me & I'm scared to join parkrun :0
Also I am very scared to injury myself again so I literally think I am scared of speeding things up, even if my
fitness
allowed me. I'm definitely overthinking it but I keep not going despite wanting to...

An early 3K 😊🏃♀️👍☀️
Combined with a short run and a long, slow run, my
fitness
level should soon improve. Up at 4.50 a.m. and cuppa outside! The air was fresh on my skin after a warm night. Running gear on and out of the door. Not a gremlin in sight. Warm up walk done and I start to run.

Three times around the park (post-ARR)
But, I reasoned, if I kept it up, doing at least two laps - or maybe one and a half - I would build up my
fitness
and soon be doing three - or more! - no problem. I even ordered some exercise clothes and shoes online in the hope of eventually graduating to jogging around the park.

W7R1 - Bad run :(
My
fitness
app said I'd burned 357 calories, which is my highest yet but boy, did I feel that today. Even my post-run stretches felt tough today. Maybe I'm just knackered? Never mind - keep going :)

HHM Training - Week 2 Day 2
I feel as if the weight is slowly coming off and I can feel my
fitness
coming back. I’ll be running a 35 minute recovery run tomorrow at an easy pace and then it bumps up to 4 miles on Monday (6.4K). I’m starting to feel fitter and faster though Monday is the real test.

Back to the beginning
C25K transformed my
fitness
and well-being in 2019. I was thrilled. I graduated. I ran. I triumphed! Slow but passionate about running. Keen Parkrun beginner. Then, 2020.....lockdown....all that went with it.
Fitness
, gone. Running? Forget it.

Body fat
At 57 I had given up on
fitness
and health thinking it was all behind me. At 60 I am the fittest I have probably been for 20 plus years. I have reached my weight goal and just recently reached my body fat goal. The challenge now is to keep the weight off .

Shin splints..
I’ve read rest is the only real treatment but don’t want to stop for a longer period than a few days as think this will mess up my routine &
fitness
level. Will this always be an issue or does it get better? Ps I’ve tried compression sleeves which I don’t think made much difference

YWA August Calendar: CULTIVATE
Adriene suggests in her email that August’s Cultivate practice is all about
creation and invention
, so I am looking forward to exploring where this practice can take my body on this next step of my
fitness
journey. So what were your milestones from last month’s workouts?

40 minutes
My
fitness
has really suffered hard when I took an involuntary break of 3 weeks. At 30 minutes I wanted to stop. But I pushed on, thinking I could stop at 35 minutes. At 35 minutes I thought to push to 40 minutes to reach my goal. But I was breathing hard and felt like I had run a marathon.
