Hiya,
Went out this morning just before 10 am. It was already a little warm (18 degrees), but as I have to get up on weekdays at 6 for work, I really can't force myself to get up at 6 in the weekends too. Had breakfast just before 8 and waited 2 hours to avoid spasms.
Put coach Bennett in my ears for 40 minutes and set off. Loads of sour people out and about who did not say g'morning back, even a couple of other runners who ignored me. Luckily a few people did say hello back, including 1 very enthousiastic runner near the end of my run, which made up for all the walking lemons.
I had planned for 40 minutes, thinking to build up my long runs back from 30 minutes to 90 minutes with an increase of 10 minutes each weekend. I am starting to think that this might be too much though. My fitness has really suffered hard when I took an involuntary break of 3 weeks.
At 30 minutes I wanted to stop. But I pushed on, thinking I could stop at 35 minutes. At 35 minutes I thought to push to 40 minutes to reach my goal. But I was breathing hard and felt like I had run a marathon. But I succeeded in getting to 40 minutes, finishing with 4,52 km.
Coming home I admired the tomato color of my face in the mirror, thinking that people who saw me running must have thought I had run much much longer to look this red and tired πΉ.
But hey, I did my 40 minutes! Can't run Tuesday (got my 4 weekly IV againgst reumatic artritis and I prefer not running after it), so it will be Wednesday (hopefully).
Cheers, Evy
