Indoors on treadmill: 20 minutes of interval speed training done! 1 minute at 1 mile pace, 2 minutes at 5K pace and 3 minutes at 10K pace with 1 minute intervals. All relatively comfortable. I feel as if the weight is slowly coming off and I can feel my fitness coming back.
I’ll be running a 35 minute recovery run tomorrow at an easy pace and then it bumps up to 4 miles on Monday (6.4K). I’m starting to feel fitter and faster though Monday is the real test. Will have to keep the pace slow not least because I’ll be running outside when I’ve done most of the training so far on the dreadmill.

When I did the C25K I found running outside a nightmare compared to the treadmill. Around the time of the first lockdown my breathing got considerably worse and I still don’t know whether I had Covid in the run up to lockdown. All I know is my lungs have been more wheezy over the last 18 months in the mornings, especially if I’ve exercised the day before. There are signs of improvement and my lungs have been checked with no evidence the asthma is worse so who knows? When I’m actually running (always after taking my meds) my lungs are not too bad so hopefully running outside will become more comfortable.
