Looking for any advice please. I had a heart attack April 2019. On the usual medications Aspirin, Ramipril, Bisoprolol, Eplerenone and statin. I am 51 and going through the menopause and struggling as I cannot take any hrt meds. Is there anything that I can take to help with symptoms especially hot flushes

Irregular beats with Losartan
I posted a little while ago about the Cardio Pharmacist wanting to increase my Losartan dose to 150mg. After HA I was changed from Ramipril to low dose Losartan (25mg), which I was on for months with no problems. I increased that per instructions and got as far as 100mg before feeling pretty rubbish

Amlodipine
Hi until recently I was on 5mg of Amlodipine & 2.5 Bendroflumethiazide. 3 weeks ago it was increased to 10mg as my BP was getting too high. Since then I have been waking up 2,3 times a night feeling extremely hot, even though the room is very cold. I have not been sweating but have to take all the covers

Losartron medication
Hi. My new nephrologist (I’ve relocated) has taken me off Ramipril and put me on Losartron, 50 mg. Is anyone else on this? He said there are over 400 Vasculitis patients at his clinic and the majority are on it. Does anyone else take this? And is anyone based in Poole, Dorset? Take care all x

Dizzy when waking
I had a heart attack 5 weeks ago and had a stent fitted. I’m taking the usual cocktail of tablets and haven’t had significant problems but, on my phone check up, my consultant recommended that I take 2.5 mg Ramipril in the evening rather than in the morning as I had been doing. I did this for about

Blood pressure fluctuating during the night
Hello all very quick question. In the mornings lately before I get up and about 30 minutes after having my Ramipril I've felt a little under the weather and not wanting to eat my breakfast, so I checked my blood pressure this morning and it was 159/89 much higher than I want. I've just been out for

HBP and Amlodipine
I am new here. I have White coat syndrome and PTSD around having my BP taken, this is due to a bad experience many years ago with Pre Eclampsia when pregnant (and now health anxiety in general arising from this) I am otherwise reasonably fit and well but I visited my GP for a minor knee issue and he

High BP at 38 years old, am I on the right track to 'recovery'? Advice and experiences welcome - I'm new here, thanks
I am approaching 39 and earlier this year in May I had checked my blood pressure for the first time in years. I have previously had blood tests for Cholesterol etc which have always been fine. However, my blood pressure readings to my surprise was 178 / 127 on 3 readings. I was prescribed Amlodipine

Well that was a weird week and a long post, sorry
So 5 years ago before any heart trouble i was a judo coach and badly dislocated my left shoulder requiring surgery. I had a procedure called acromioclavicular joint stabilisation with lockdown. Last Monday 23rd November i woke up took off my cpap and got out of bed with excruciating pain in my shoulder

Throat issues.
Hi there. I had heart attack in September and also heart failure diagnosis. When I am moving around or walking I get a dry throat and a feeling like trapped air in my throat, I can continue the walk for 20 mins and don’t get breathless but I’m left with a sore throat. My GP thinks it’s a side effect

Artrostatin side effects
Hi my physio at rehab suggested I took nystatin 40 mg in the morning as I was having trouble sleeping and my ramipril 2.5 at night. I also take Bisoprolol [ 25 at night and 76mg aspirin in the morning. Ceased Ticagrelor a month ago after one year. I had angina and a stent. The statin makes me feel spaced

What should we expect 12 weeks after aortic and mitral valve replacement? - UPDATE
HUGE thanks to all who respondend - brilliant advice, which our GP agreed with, referred him to the hospital's acute medical unit (not the hospital where he had the op). They were brilliantly thorough and after a long day there we ruled out infective endocarditis and neurological issues, confirmed that
