Nothing was found today anyway and have been told it would be good to get a barium swallow. I’m just extremely worried about side effects I have very bad

Just a few more questions about Cirrhosis
Hello, it's me [again]. Only one more day until I go for my endoscopy as they picked up varices on my cat scan. May [or most definitely will, according to my gastroenterologist] have to band them. This whole procedure has got me thinking again, and I inevitably then end up with more questions [sorry]

Painful indigestion
I have pernicious anaemia treated with vit b12 injections. Prior to being diagnosed I suffered with terrible indigestion and the usual meds, like gaviscon, windeze, omprezole did nothing to alleviate it. Since starting the b12 injections the indigestion is less frequent but still very painful and wakes

‘what now’ failed R223 My husband this week because of low Hb 83 had a blood transfusion + iron infusion. Apixaban, bleeding ulcer and stroke risks
My wife, early 80s, has previously had a mitral valve repair, pacemaker fitted, Suffers from AF and takes candesartan, sotalol, apixaban and furosemide. Last week she coughed up blood, called ambulance, admitted to A&E and endoscopy suggested bleeding ulcer in upper GI tract. She was taken off Apixaban

Gaviscon side effects
Hello, I was wondering is there anyone who gets side effects after taking Gaviscon? I read lots of responds in this topic that many of you take Gaviscon after meals and before bed and it works for the reflux. But I don't understand why I always have dizziness and breathing issue after taking it. Sometimes

relentless bowel movements
hello, I have posted on this platform before and I appreciate the feedback I have received. May IBS issues though persist. Today I have had close to 25 significant bowel movements not water but thick, heavy stools despite the fact that I consume little food throughout the day. And after 25 bowel

Terminal ileitis
My colonoscopy found mild inflammation in the TI area which they said looked like Terminal Ileitis. Biopsies were taken but they came back normal. I haven't discussed the results with my consultant yet as I had to give in a stool sample to check the calprotectin level first. It looks like it isn't Crohn's

Laxatives that don't cause nausea?
Hello I am suffering from constipation and just wondering what laxatives are least likely to cause nausea? I'm having problems with my stomach I'm getting an endoscopy in a month I'm feeling nauseous almost all the time and having problems going to the toilet. So very sensitive to meds at the moment.

My doctors won’t investigate
Typically I suffer with chronic symptoms of low B12 but all my results seem to be ignored by GP. My ferritin is 35 ug/L (indeterminate), vitamin b12 is 157ng/L (low) and in my FBC my MCV is 95.5 (just below higher cut off) and MCH is 32.1 (slightly high - comment on blood test is ‘no action despite having

Need advice as am unsure what's going on
Hi, I am wondering if I could get some advice, as I am unsure exactly what is wrong on how I am feeling, and wondered if anyone else has experienced the same thing. About 8 years ago now, I was diagnosed with a hiatus hernia via an endoscope. For the past 3 days, I have been getting a lot of pain
