Sudden colitis
Hi all, I have been in hospital for 2.5 weeks after a sudden bout of diarrhoea (16-17x a day), abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. I just had a sigmoidoscopy which showed colitis but the dr’s are still unsure whether this is IBD or due to an infection (Stool samples were negative for infection

atrophic gastritis pernicious anaemia
Dear group I had the results of endoscopy. Nothing at fault but confirmed atrophic gastritis pernicious anaemia-which I think is good news considering what it could be. Question - does AG cause PA. Or does PA cause AG ? - does anyone have this type and if yes how is it for you coupled with PA ?

Persistent Diarrhea. Reliable SIBO test?
My dad (72yrs) has been having persistent diarrhea ever since he was on a PPI (Omeprozole) whilst on steriods in 2019. Whilst he is no longer on the Proton Pump Inhibitor the diarrhea remains. It is daily. I suspect it is potentially due to low stomach acid which has resulted in SIBO. (He has hypothyroidism

Lansoprazole
After previous post, I am taking 2 x 30mg of Lansoprazole and two days in, Acid Reflux is better. Is this too high a dose? I take it morning and evening before meals. Also I am being referred for endoscopy.

Worried and advice appreciated
My aunty has been submitted to hospital with Jaundice and pale stalls and very orange urine, yet no pain. Mri has shown no gall stones neither has Endoscopy. It seems like Liver failure but i donn't remember seeing her drink much at all. She is active and certainly not overweight and eats well. The

Clear colonoscopy but chronic active inflammation shown up on CT scan.
Hi, I'm currently being investigated for the possibility of bowel disease. I had my colonoscopy on Friday and I didn't really get the answers I wanted. I guess it's one step back. They didn't see any ulcers (my first colonoscopy from 2020 showed TI ulcers) and no inflammation (A CT scan from April this

Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction Type 1 with cirrhosis of the liver
I had an Endoscopic ultrasound on Tuesday where they confirmed I have Sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction (SOD) Type 1. Last week I was diagnosed with cirrhosis with a score of 22.5. I'm still not sure what this score really means except I'm in the risk category (20-25). A score over 25 is high risk. I'm a

Esophagus nodules
Here I go again. I have been having lots of symptoms. I had my yearly at the Mayo. My liver specialist told me what ever is going on with me has nothing to do with my liver. He said that my liver is as healthy as someone without pbc/aih. The following day I had my three year colonoscopy/endoscopy.
