Haven't been diagnosed with ibs yet but everything is pointing towards this being my problem. Had all tests blood, stool,ct,colonscopy, endoscopy and ultrasound all clear so been referred to gastroenterologist. I have all the symptoms left side pain radiating up the back, blosting, wind exactly. Butvthe thing thats making feel worse and i feel is stopping me going about my daily routine is lightheadedness, brain fog dizziness don't know which. Anyone else suffer from this and how do you manage it. Thanks.

Yes, all of the above & more. It generally makes me so unwell. Our brain/vagus nerve is linked to our guts. I have to remember to drink plenty of fluids, as dehydration can make you very unwell, especially If you suffer with diahorrea

Best wishes hope you feel better soon

Have you mentioned the light headedness, brain fog and dizziness to your GP, so that they can carry out specific checks around this? I wouldn't say that these are the most common symptoms for IBS.

Have you considered it might be High Histamine Intolerance? I was getting light headedness, dizziness, nearly fainted last year. I recently started looking into histamines after someone on here mentioned it, and I discovered it is a problem with me. I now keep histamines as low as I can, they're in most things we eat and I've cut out the culprits, Tomatoes, Strawberries, aged foods, etc. There's a list of foods on line which are high in histamines, and keeping to a none processed diet as much as possible is the only way. Keeping stress levels low and getting as much exercise as possible which eases anxiety.

My IBS is till there, that won't go, but it's a lot better to manage. I changed my probioics to strains that lower histamines and it's made a big difference.
