Good morning, I’ve got to have a video capsule endoscopy in a few weeks.

I wanted to know if anyone has had this procedure done please??? I'm very anxious as I have diverticulitis as well as Crohn’s disease! I know it can get stuck and if can’t be dislodged they then have to do surgery. I don’t do well will anaesthetics.

I want to know is do you have to do a prep beforehand like when you have a colonoscopy?? I’m really working myself up about the prep! Can anyone please tell me if they did or didn’t have to do a prep.

Thank you.

Sorry Maggie i didn't` have that but i should imagine by taking prep it would be more easy for them to insert the capsule
