I’ve been diagnosed with adult onset asthma a four years ago. I’m 54. Diagnosed after a respiratory tract infection- no spiromtry or other tests I’ve read about on here. For the first couple of years I didn’t have symptoms most of the time- only when I had a cold. I could go without Clenil or Ventolin

Don’t ignore changes in your symptoms
I have recently been having a rough time with nausea and bloating ( see previous post) but then went on to develop diarrhoea about 10 bouts a day. I put it all down to a bad flare of ibs and ignored it. I finally went to the doctors regarding my nausea and they sent some samples off. A week later I

Hi, I’ve been on Lansoprazole now for almost a month. I have a colonoscopy and endoscopy on the 17th of March. I’ve been put on a non-critical care plan by my GP hence the near five week wait for the camera screening. I have no definitive diagnosis, however my sleep is extremely disruptive I haven’t

Has anyone else been diagnosed with PA at the age of 19?
I was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia at the age of 19 and I had all of the tests done such as colonoscopy and endoscopy and other blood tests and nothing came back positive. My doctor stated that I simply have PA and I am very confused because I never dealt with these problems when I was a child and

Can it be PA when the Dr says no and the results are inconclusive?
Hi All, I am looking for some thoughts to my PA/B12 deficiency journey. Having an engineering background sometimes makes the grey areas that surround PA difficult and not having a full 100% conclusive diagnosis is difficult for me to know how to progress. I have read most if not all the information

Gastro-Intestinal bleeding on anticoagulants is a sign of cancer
There's a paper just out on GI bleeding on anti-coagulants: https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/925291 Apparently there is a 10-24 times risk of colorectal cancer if you bleed from the lower GI tract whist on anticoagulants. It is actually a good news story as it's not the anticoagulant causing the

Raised GGT & ALT and generally feeling unwell.
Hi there, I'm new to all this and was wondering if anyone had any advice to try and ease my mind. I have been quite ill for a few months (bouts of diarrhoea, sickness, stomach pain and bloating and generally feeling crappy and lethargic). 3 weeks ago I ended up in excruciating pain just under my ribs

Smelly Gas & Loose Stools
I have had a QFit test and a huge amount of blood tests of late. Last year I had a ct and mri and xrays. I have had abdomen issues for years and spent a small fortune on private tests. Had an endoscopy and colonoscopy 18 months back. I tried to start eating more fibre, at start this was OK, but I have

Awaiting diagnosis of Acid Reflux or worse.
Hi, I’ve recently been put on a dose of Lansoprazole as had a bit of heart burn and acid indigestion on and off for a couple months. Didn’t think anything of it then woke up one morning with a sore throat which subsided after drinking tea or a hot drink in the morning. Anyway since the Lansoprazole

Organ metastasis
I feel like I’m one of very few who has the breast cancer in my stomach and not in lungs or bone. Is there anyone else in this group with the cancer in their stomach? That was the only place they saw it, but after my second CT, the radiologist sees a very small area in my omentum by my right abdomen
