Anyone know current waiting times for endoscopy in UK?
I hoped that I would never have to have an endoscopy again - I had a 270 degree fundoplication and hiatus hernia repair 4 years ago, no acid indigestion since - but in the last couple of years I have suffered from a very dry mouth, sometimes a burnt tongue with loss of taste and sometimes a very stuffed

When to see a nephrologist?
I have had stage 3 CKD for 20+ years. I saw a nephrologist that ordered 14 vials of blood drawn. Due to a conflict in work and scheduling a return appointment I never went back. My GFR has remained relatively stable all these years. Should I be seeing a nephrologist? I have only had one doctor even mention

Turmeric could have antiviral properties.
Curcumin, a natural compound found in the spice turmeric, could help eliminate certain viruses, research has found. A study published in the Journal of General Virology showed that curcumin can prevent Transmissible gastroenteritis virus (TGEV) – an alpha-group coronavirus that infects pigs – from infecting

Hi everyone, I’m getting very anxious and stressed about my stomach and I was wondering if anyone has any answers or support or even a similar situation. I have an online appointment with a dietician tomorrow afternoon but I thought I’d try here as well just in case. Sorry this is a bit long! Basically

Colonoscopy safe if trying for a baby?
Hi all has anyone had experience of a colonoscopy whilst trying to conceive. I called the department and asked if it was safe, and they said it should be unless your pregnant. Didn't sound altogether helpful as it's a bit of a chicken and egg situation. I'm having it on the 3rd August and we are actively

IBS & diet
I’m awaiting an endoscopy but my GP has said that he thinks I have IBS-D after all other tests ruled out other conditions. Been suffering for about 15 years on and off but now it’s got to the point where I’m suffering nearly every day, albeit the diahorrea and pain is less than it used to be. I’m convinced

Internal vibration/IF test
I have recently developed an internal vibration at my tummy. It feels like I have an electric toothbrush in it. I had IF antibody test last year but was negative though my Gastric Parietal Antibody was positve. I had endoscopy and advised that I have “mild Gastritis”. I take a sublingual B12. Would

Anyone experienced lump like feeling in thyroid area
Hello all. I would really love to hear from other people who have experienced a lump like pain in their thyroid... how you managed it, who you saw, what it was and hopefully how you made it go. I was diagnosed with Hashimotos in jan 2020. I’m on levo 75 but not really improving yet (fatigue etc). Speaking

Day 3 update
So just had the lab update . The 3 embryos are still going but one is poor. We have : 🥚 1. 10 cell 🥚 2. 8 cell 🍳 3. 4 cell Safe to say we are down to 2 at this stage from these results. 🙄 Finding it hard to think any will make it to Monday day 5 🤯 The lab director said that the two are 5/

Worried sick
Hi everyone, I guess I'm writing this post to find some reassurance since i'm worried sick. Been a alcoholic for some years and got my life back on track for roughly 2 years. During the corona period I had a slip up and binged quite heavily for about 10 days. The last day I woke up with clay colored

Chronic Vein Insufficiency
I suspect I have liver disease. After noticing varicose veins on my feet and legs and swelling of my feet and ankles, I went to a highly regarded vascular surgeon, I was diagnosed with Chronic Venous Insufficiency after having an ultrasound. As injection schedule decreases, symptoms are returning!
So as some of you know (Seth12345), I was diagnosed with b12d about 8 weeks ago. My loading doses were: once a day for 7 days, once a week for a month and once a month for a year. I just completed the once a week for a month, with the last injection being one day late, on the 8th day. Two days later

I"m new here....needing relief from chest congestion/mucus
Since summer 2017 I've been dealing with excess mucus that causes breathlessness or wheezing until I'm able to get relief by coughing it out. It happens after eating or after exercise, or even lying down. I've changed my diet to a healthier one and for the last two months have stuck to greens, fish,
