Hi everyone, Here's what I made for dinner tonight it's a cauliflower baked in a chickpea sauce made with onions mushrooms tomatoes garlic cooked in olive oil to soften then a paste made with chickpea flour and cold water was added with the water used to cook the cauliflower. I added black pepper sage

Thyroiditis
Hello I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism over 10 years ago and have been taking Levothyroxine at varying dosages since. Until a month ago I was taking 125 mcg. About 5 months ago, I felt I was struggling particularly with fatigue. I’d had a busy/stressful year so thought I just needed a holiday. At

GP won't test T3 or T4
I have my blood tests done annually & up till now my GP has approved all the tests I've seen recommended here (TSH, FT4, FT3, ferritin, folate, B12, vit D, TPO). I've been on 100mcg levothyroxine for a few years now. At this level combined with a gluten free diet due to Hashimotos I feel fine. Because

I recently had an Endoscopy. Results were small intestine is fine. I am gluten free due to pain and it has helped ease the pain.
How is it possible that gluten free diet would help if there is no problem with celiac? Can anything help an atrophic stomach lining? Doesn't the lining replace itself every few days?

Sadly, Christmas isn't fun for everyone
What will you be eating this Christmas? Tom's been eating 900 calories a day since his bariatric surgeon gave him an intragastric balloon. Arthur can barely remember a day when he wasn't on some sort of diet. And Lizzie is still the same weight she always was, despite obsessively weighing herself every

Blood test results
Hi, in my recent blood test results calcium, potassium and sodium levels were above normal range (all others, including LFT, ALT were normal range). I try to follow low sodium diet. GP has asked for repeat test. Has anyone else have similar results. So far only diagnosis is mild to high Fibrosis.

Aching joints with Hashimoto's
I've had Hashimoto's since I was 14 (am now 47). I'm on 150mcg levo. Levels are all good - high in range for T4 and T3, vitamin levels all good (D near 100 where I feel good). Gluten free diet. But still I have aching joints and muscle pains all of the time. There is a not a day when I am pain free.

Question re calories and LCHF diet
Could someone advise whether one has to count calories on a LCHF diet. Ive lost 4lb since starting this week and don't want to stop the process- have not been counting carbs at all. Have eaten a lot but within an eight hour window. Thanks for advice!

Does low carb help with Sjögrens pain?
Hi, I’m a newbie :) My husband is newly diagnosed with sjogrens. I have secondary sjogrens. My husband gets painful flares mainly in the hands and shoulder. I was watching Dr.Berry on YouTube who was saying that Keto diet helps with joint pain etc as less carbs and only eating certain dairy ie cream

Does anyone else here have this mix - Hashimoto’s, Sjögren’s, overlap connective tissue diseases which include Raynaud’s and Erythromelagia, neuropathy and Vitiligo? Also lymphedema (fluid retention) relating to the above - particularly in the abdomen and pelvic area. I’m awaiting tests to see if I have

ADF anecdotal - it works for this lady!
I think and advise that ADF or any other form of IF works so much better in combination with LCHF - without counting anything. She is 23% body fat which (for a young lady) is in the same (athletic) band as my 14%, being a 70-year-old male. She "sussed it out" and started off with ADF and used 4:3 later

High Fat vs High Protein diet for Type 2 diabetic
I have consulted a renowned endocrinologist in Bangalore for my diabetes management. As my BMI is on lower side (18.5), he suggested to have 2200 KCal diet plan for increasing my weight and changed medication Olymprix M 500/20 mg (metformin/teneligliptin) from twice to once a day. Also regarding diet

Is creatine a bad idea?
Hi is it dodgy if I take creatine? I'm early stage one CLL. I've gone on a vegan low-carb diet and my numbers go down each month with it but I've lost some weight. I wonder if taking creatine to boost my muscles is a bad idea. Thank you!
