Hazelnut Truffle Recipe
Background: I made and enjoyed pavlova this Christmas. In case you don't know, it's basically a soft meringue (aka aerated sugar) covered with cream and more sugar. I very much took a day off my eating plan. I deliberately didn't take any left overs home, but I had some ingredients: double cream, crushed

What shows Urso is working?
I was diagnosed and started Urso five weeks ago and I'm having a blood test next week to see if it's working. I feel a bit more in control when I'm prepared for results. Nearly all my last bloods were well out of range and the next set is testing a lot of stuff. I know it's all important, but what specifically

Low Carb Bread
Just starting out on this low carb journey, not keto but attempting to keep carbs below 30gm a day, I find breakfast hardest as I work night duty so by 8am I'm pretty hungry, I enjoyed bacon and egg (who doesn't) but miss having a piece of toast. Found this bread in Aldi and at 2.5gm per slice I thought

If you have high blood pressure?
Hi my partner has to take BP meds - his cholesterol is fine. Would the Keto LCHF be ok for him - heās worrying that eating foods high in fat will make his cholesterol bad.

Gluten and soy free diet...
So Iām doing the gluten free diet and avoiding soy like the plague. Iāve downloaded the coeliac uk app but Iām confused... so the gluten free section is already ticked but then there is an section for extra gluten options and a section saying may contain cereals... do I need to tick all these extra sections

The Diet Doctor.com Project
As many of us provide this project as a great reference point, I thought it may be helpful to understand the background for any not familiar with it. It is a social enterprise project dependent on crowd funding through a membership fee. Dr Andreas Eenfeldt started is around 2007 as a family blog site

Hi I had an heart attack in May 2019 and due to conflicting diagnoses I still am having scans and various hospital visits. I was diagnosed with coeliacs disease in 2016 so have been on a gluten free diet ever since (not always very good at this) the trouble is in order to make ready made gluten free

New Year, Less Flab
Well, it's that time of year when we'll all be making New Year resolutions (and then promptly forgetting about them :) ). There's been an upsurge in posts concerning low-carb (LCHF) recently, so if you're thinking of giving this a go after your holiday indulgences, herewith a short FAQ ... and a bit

Cauliflower in ginger sauce with roast parsnips, low carb vegan.
Hi everyone, Here's what I had for diner tonight, I'd already bought a local grown cauliflower and some parsnips when I noticed a reply with a member saying they were pre-diabetic and vegan so I thought I'd bake the cauliflower and parsnips and keep it plant based and low carb and it's also gluten free

HI All I found out I was hypothyroid in May with TSH at 4.24 (0.22-4.20) And TPO antibodies 105 (<115) So, I started Levo which has brought the TSH down to 2.23 , but pushed the TPO up to 275 My main symptom is muscle aches and I'm on NDT which does not seem to be helping the aches Since plenty of people
