I think and advise that ADF or any other form of IF works so much better in combination with LCHF - without counting anything.
She is 23% body fat which (for a young lady) is in the same (athletic) band as my 14%, being a 70-year-old male.
She "sussed it out" and started off with ADF and used 4:3 later. You can, of course, use "proper IF" 5:2 - eating nothing two days a week ¿in combination with e.g. IF 16:8 on other days?
Hi, read some of your posts and I am very impressed, I really would like to work out a plan for loosing the weight, my target is to shift 5 stone , could you help me with a starting an eating plan , would be great fil for some planning
If you "slim smart" weight loss is not so hard! It is not all about motivation and masochism.
Some of us here find that what works is a combination of The Low Carbohydrate, High-Fat (LCHF) diet (see the forum here on Health Unlocked) and Not Snacking All Day AKA Intermittent Fasting (IF).
There are several advantages of the IF/LCHF combo:
It enables nearly everybody to lose weight
You do not have to count anything
It can decrease your susceptibility to, alleviate, reverse or cure most non-communicable diseases.
It improves longevity
It stimulates the metabolism (calories restriction suppresses it)
