Diabetic & brain tumour advice

Hi I am type 2 diabetic, have been for at lest 10 years not took it to seriously; last year I had a brain tumour removed that was November 2nd they did not get it all out and on the 2-5-2019 had more removed got most of it out feeling a lot better recovered really well going gym looking after myself I am now on a low carb high fat diet (keto) have lost 3 stone my insulin was 62 now 48 but my a1c is not that good best i get is between 7/9. any tips on how i can make this better.
