Well still feeling motivated with over enthusiastic husband on board 😳 we are counting calories and doing as low carb as possible but having our oats and bananas. The flipping leftover chocs 2 a night counted have almost gone and with a 4lb loss so far and the treadmill out of hibernation as a clothes hanger being used half hour by us both each day I think this is a good start to the new year which if we can see through till at least April then our good habits should hopefully have habit formed 🤔😋🥰
Good start😇: Well still feeling... - Low-Carb High-Fat...
Good start😇
Ha ha ! Loving the over enthusiastic husband!
Well done on making a start, my favourite fruit is banana but I think the banana is one of the highest carb fruits there is isn't it?
Good luck with the treadmill! x
Welcome on board guys!
If I can offer a bit of startup advice: don't sit on the fence by retaining your oats and bananas; those will cause a massive glucose/insulin spike every morning which will almost entirely nullify all of your other dietary changes.
For most people, low-carb has to be consistently low-carb, all day, for several days, to kick things off. If you're already young and fit you might get away with it, but why take the chance? Finish off the choccies, empty the oats packet, then go full-on low-carb.
Also, don't count calories. There's absolutely no need to do so, and it can actually make things worse by slowing down your metabolism, making you hungry, and/or craving carbs. Trust your body to get it right. Reach out with your feelings. Use the Force, Luke. It's a bit of a leap of faith, but it does work!
Thank you. I have to let husband suss it out so it’s his choice for LCHF or he poo poos everything but if I do it with good results he may be convinced......as he does most of the cooking I don’t want to upset him😳😂😂😂😂
Ah, got it Anyway, from your breakfast pic, it looks like you're already making your own arrangements! Your menu sounds fine.
Don't forget to add fat at every opportunity while you're starting off; I've noticed that British bacon contains so little fat that I have to add extra to cook with. A bit of cream and/or cheese in your scrambled egg, and a bit of butter to fry your mushrooms in, will do the trick. If you try to go low carb with inadequate fat, you'll feel like you're starving to death.
