Hi Kapil, Before planning diet chart what does your HbA1c and FBS/PPS are? Only simple way is to avoid carbs like roti, rice, potatoes, root vegetables. Use carb counting and keep it to less than 100 g a day. Take high fat and protein diet, include eggs, chicken if you are non vegetarian. It will control your sugar and you may not need any medications or supplements. With that said do brisk walk after each meal for 20-30 mins. Hope this helps.

It should come down considerably by following low carb diet. You can experiment this by not taking roti or rice at night. Only eat vegetables/daal and less sugar fruits. Keep duration of 10-12 hours before checking FBS after good night sleep. It would be much lower. Avoid grains and get your carbs from vegetables, chicken etc. at other meals too. Completely avoid sugar, juices and processed foods. Take cinnamon tea and fenugreek seeds in empty stomach. Are you taking any medications? For how long have you been diagnosed? There are lot many posts in this forum about diet, exercise and lifestyle changes. Read them and try to follow through strictly. It will help you for sure. Good luck.

What kind of supplement? For reducing blood sugar I have not heard any. If you are talking about protein supplement. There are few in market for diabetic like D-protin. You can talk to any dietitian. There are many for building muscles or gaining weight.

A few weeks months back , I have started BGR 34 two tablets twice a day before meals . I have noticed my Sugar level has dropped by atleast 20-30 Pts. You need to take it with your regular medicine , which your Doctor may gradually decrease but may not stop. At the end most Allopathic medicines effect yr Kidneys so an attempt should be made to reduce yr medicines if not possible to stop all together.

As with all things , pls consult with yr Dr before starting any alternative medicine & check yr Sugar regularly to see if it works for you or Blood Sugar is not falling too low.

What did your doctor say about a type of diet/medication you can use?

Answer to your questions depends on so many medical conditions.!!

First get blood numbers checked.

Only eat over ground veg.

No grains food.

No fried food

No sugary drinks.

Eat plenty of fenugreek soaked in water!

Drink boiled Sri Lankan cinnamon water.

Daily exercise.

Before considering any supplements you need to have a base line and a target.

Good luck.

There is no short cut.
