Very confused !
I have recently restarted the lchf diet and have been doing a lot of research during the course of which I came across a site called Healthline . In the article I was reading they were discussing why some people don’t lose weight using low - carb diets . Two of the reasons were ‘ eating too many calories

Itchy burning face, ears, neck
Just over a week ago I started having watery diarrhoea. Have now spoken to my GP and taken a stool sample for analysis but thankfully it is now clearing up. Don't know whether its connected but the skin on my face is burning, very itchy especially when in bed or warm. Its on my face down my neck,

When is it supposes medication have an effect?
By middle of November 2020 I was diagnosed with a “clinical picture suggestive of PSP”, being freezing of gait (FoG) my claim. This is the end of a long road of claims (inbalance, neck pain, radiculopathies, a.s.o.) after being submitted in November 2015 to a ACDF surgery to decompress my spinal cord

VitaminD levels & magnesium
I was just wondering if many of you have checked your Vit D levels. I assumed that taking Vitcal D for the last 6 years my levels would be good. When I’ve had bloods done they have never included Vit D. So I sent off to Medicheck and was surprised when the results came back at the low end at 60.7. So

W6R1 Weird Smell
Just got back from my W6R2 of C25K and had a weird smell in my nostrils. Googled it and it’s amonia which means I’m burning protein! I’m on a low carb diet. Any ideas of what I should eat before a run to avoid this? The run was fab though 👍🏻

A wee observation
I started a low carb Keto diet in August. Some ups and downs but I’ve lost 2 stones in weight. I’ve reduced to 7.5mg pred. It’s not been easy. But I’m starting to see my face again. However, I’ve just had a high carb weekend of excess and boy does my body know it. I’ve just spent most of the day in

Ultrasound results
Hi so just updating. I posted previously about alt 42 and ggt 216. I had my ultrasound last week: told me no fatty liver which is good. She was really good, there was two of them as one had just recently qualified so she was doing the ultrasound and the lady was observing. She told me a lot while I

Quick, vegetarian lchf lunch
I’ve just made this pancake, which is so quick to make and delicious, so thought I’d share. Beat a large egg in a bowl, add 1 heaped tbsp ground almonds and some grated Cheddar. Melt a knob of butter in a small frying pan and fry for a few minutes each side. Here I’ve served it with some samphire and

High ggt and alp, scans clear, is it worth further investigation
Hi, my ggt been high (120 now was around 300) and alp just over the limit for the past couple of years. It’s not getting worse and has improved, but not come within the safe levels by giving up alcohol. I have now had ultrasound and Fibroscan done, both completely clear. Consultant has said nothing wrong

Swede & carrot fritters
Hi everyone and here’s a pic of tonight’s tea. I made the fritter idea up and although they fell apart a bit, they were well yummy. Chop half a swede and 3 medium carrots into small chunks, steam for about ten minutes then mash with butter. Stir in a fried onion, a large egg and a handful of grated cheddar

Ibs and gallstones
Does anyone have gallstones along with their ibs? I’m waiting to get my gallbladder removed, I have been getting flare ups every 2 to 3 weeks. Not eating any fat so not sure what sets it off, but pain horrendous and lasts for days. My ibs worsens at the same time so I end up being in pain everywhere,

Cure for NAFLD within 1 month (confirmed)
Hey guys. It’s been a while since i posted on this site. If you look at my previous post, you will see that I have reversed NAFLD last year. This year I gained 30LBs and my liver enzymes went high again recently . But again with proper diet and exercise, I was able to bring it down to normal range.
