36 yr old First Time Mommy :-)
I've recently lost my best friend, a person I so admired and deeply loved. I saw them get eaten away with that ugly a hateful terminal disease called cancer. They cried out loud because of pain and for help while I tried everything to save thier life. I prayed out loud, in my head, in the kitchen, while

First Laproscopy and stent placement
Has been diagnosed with endo effecting ureter, ovary and some other places recently. The endo specialist booked me in for a diagnostic Laproscopy and a stent placement for 3 months! He plan to do the big op in 3 months time after hormone treatment. Never had surgery or pain before. I am a bit worried

Day 8, into the second week! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻😎
Not a bad today, not too good either - somewhere in between. It probably wasn't helped by the fact that my youngest daughter thought it would be fun to dress up at 1am, decorate the bathroom with toothpaste at 2am and go downstairs to watch TV at 3am 😱😱😱 So i got up in a bit of a grump, and immediately

Hi
My 10 year old son has difficult to control asthma. We've recently discovered that he's highly allergic to house dust mite. We've tried lifting carpets in his room and I wash his bedding on high temp every other day but it seems to make no difference. I've seem a new dyson fan advertised that claims

Week 2 of my depression - this time
I am a child of a panic depressive - I have suffered for a long time - I do not want to die, but I cannot seem to find a reason to live - I feel like a failure in everything that I do - I try to act happy at home, so that my wife won't worry, but, I think she knows - she is so used to me being depressed

Does anybody have vocal chord dysfunction?
I have just been diagnosed with this after years of telling my GP the feeling I got during exercise was not normal asthma. I've been referred to speech and language therapy to learn to control it - just wondering if anybody has been through this and what to expect?

Low Dose Naltrexone
Just an update on my LDN journey. As far as Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) is concerned, it is an unlicensed drug which, as far as I can ascertain, means that it is not on the list of approved drugs for doctors to prescribe on the NHS, but that if they wish to prescribe it it is perfectly legal for them

My holiday with pain
As you all know we are up north staying in Whitley bay for the week. We came up last year as well and we had a lovely time then and we have had a lovely time this year as well with the exeption of my health which has let me down big time. It was at Alnwick gardens that it hit me hard. I had had a lovely

Low dose naltrexone, collagen, & other alternatives
Please see my posts in the NRAS community. I can't repeat everything here, but I have LONG posts there! I'm posting here because I live in N California & hope I can tie in with other RD folks in my area, particularly those trying alternatives (or complements) to steroids, mainstream DMARD's, & biologics

Just one bad day...
Day 46 of no smoking and I was feeling pretty smug. I'm still on the 7mg patch, but most of the urges had subsided until yesterday. My spouse was having a rough day and being very confrontational, and I found out my stubborn and perpetually mad brother refused shipment of a birthday gift I sent him,

Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)
Has anyone out there with Hashimotos or other auto immune conditions tried Naltrexone? It can be got here in New Zealand from a compounding pharmacy, but only with a doctor,s prescription. Has anyone tried it and found it beneficial?

Who Says Being A Quitter Is A Bad Thing?
For me it was the best thing that ever happened in my life. It has been 10 months ago driving the 400 km back from the doctor with a box of Champix in my pocket and a X-Ray in a brown envelope showing my poor lungs in a very bad shape after my 38 years of abusing them with toxins.....that is where
