Health News: Nourishment for Eyes
When my Mom was 6, an Alsatian (German Shepherd) dog jumped up on her, jarring her head round to look, left her with a cast in her right eye. Known as strabismus, the ancient Greek for squinting. More accurately, it means the affected eye can’t really focus and can thus appear as a cross-eye. Off her

EYE DROPS RECALLED
HI All, just thought it was a good idea to post after I read this worrying article on contaminated eye drops, the particular brands are in the US, as a user of preservative free eye drops everyday for my dry eyes, it was a good reminder to ensure I keep them clinically clean and use them only for short

Will my squint affect the outcome of the DVLA field test?
I recently advised the DVLA that I had Glaucoma and I have now received the "standard letter" from the DVLA telling me to book an appointment with Specsavers for my eyesight to be tested. I have my appointment on 27 March 2023 at 10.00am at the Totnes Branch of Specsavers. When I have had a field test

I have been an intermediate uveitis patient ( vasculitis of the eye) for about 18 months now. Have had several steroid implants in the eye and has been on methotexrate injections for 6 months now. But the oedema due to vasculitis is coming back repeatedly. So seems like I have 2 options now in terms

Questions on PMR & GCA
The visit to my new Rheumatologist was unusual, she looked at me and just said, you don't have PMR or GCA within 5 minutes of consultation. No poking or touching. I presume because she had no results to go with we wait for tests to come back. So as to my previous post on the tests that I have just had

Help please
I just posted, but I’m not sure that it went through. I’m really struggling. Been dealing with super severe anxiety for almost 2 years and I’m at the end of my rope. It feels like I have tried almost everything to get better—CBT therapy, hypnotherapy, medications, coping skills like exercise, meditation

Ongoing anxiety-need suggestions
Hi all! I have been dealing with debilitating anxiety for almost 2 years now. No matter what I do, it only seems to get worse. I’ve been on a pharmacy of medications, see a therapist weekly to do CBT, try all these different coping skills. Lately I’m having a lot of suicidal thoughts because I feel

Vision Issues
I'm a GCA patient since AUG 2022, having started with 60 MG PRED and decreased slowly to 20 MG PRED at this time. Ever since starting the PRED, I have noticed that my vision is fuzzy, blurry, etc. I thought it was a side effect of the PRED. But after slowly decreasing PRED for 7 months, my vision

I have developed some ringing in my ears and exploring all kinds of reasons for why. Had an episode of Nystagmus (dizziness) in Feb but it went away. Also seeing an eye doc to make sure eyes not related to ear ringing. Still on W&W 2.5 years. WBC is at 20. Primary care doc wants me to take a 6 day

Hi ladies, Would appreciate your advice on my situation. Had an MMC at 7 wks in Oct 22 (4th transfer and first time I’ve ever had a positive pregnancy test). SLT for Glaucoma
I had SLT a few years ago as my pressures were in the high 20's . An easy process done in a few minutes. My pressures dropped within days and settled at around 12/14 ever since. I later had Cataracts removed which had the additional benefit of maintaining low pressures. Ganfort drops had worked
