First IVF consult advice: Very high AMH, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome
Hi everyoneI'm looking for a bit of advice - I've got my first appointment with our IVF consultant on the 6th April. I just had my results back from my AMH test and the information package for my protocol. My AMH was 80.2 pmol/L and they're pretty sure I'll get ovarian hyperstimulation - I had horrendous

Post cataract op light sensitivity
Anyone experienced this? If so, for how long? I've had an injection for all my previous ops - including my first cataract op years ago. This time, just drops and I was more aware of pressure on my eye and searing lights during the surgery. The blur and grittiness cleared by the next day but, a week

Photosensitivity: “Blue/white LED lighting harms humans & wildlife…” Eclipse article p38, Spring 2023 Lupus UK magazine.
Hi there, As a lupus sufferer with light sensitivity I found this article most interesting. Sadly the old warmer, tungsten filament lamps seem to be a thing in the past. Most lamps are now LED with “cool white” as the default. However LED lights are available in “ warm white” less bright with more

I’ve recently been diagnosed with glaucoma and I am terrified of going blind. It has come as a complete shock. Can anyone help to allay my fears please.

Knee surgery
Hey guys! I am facing total knee replacement surgery (robotics) next month. I will be in the hospital overnight one night. I remember seeing a list in this forum of things to remember to look out for; i.e., nausea medicine the anesthesiologist might use, what I need to tell the doctor or nurses at

RLS/BUPRENORPHINE/ BREATHING
I’m curious if anyone else has had sleep/breathing issues with buprenorphine. I use a sleep tracker and it started alerting me to a very serious sleep apnea problem which I have never had prior to buprenorphine. I have struggled with bup anyway. It helps the RLS for sure and it is the only thing that

Small area of swelling, lower lid
Hi all. I’m newly diagnosed with NTG and haven’t yet had chance to discuss with a specialist as he was off sick so wondered if anyone here can help. I noticed a small, 1 cm area of swelling on my lower lid. Have been using monoprost for 2 months only. Is this usual? Is it blocked glands? Is this why

Tips for preparing talk therapy. Bottom up approach.
This is not all the list. But for those who are getting better or using talk therapy feel free to add yours in. Unfortunately, I have not done a lot of personal research on Children, so if there is a parent who is using talk therapy focused on children and you find it is helpful, it would be

OCD chronic exhaustion ?
Hi folks, new here… My daughter who is 20yrs has OCD (harm/pure) she started CBT/ERP/EMDR a few weeks back, I’m hopeful she’s in the right place. The thing I am desperately worried about and can’t seem to find any expert knowledge is that her exhaustion is chronic and I’m worried she might develop ME

adverse reactions to Levo
I’m on 125 of thyroxine lots of side effects extremely itchy skin, blurred vision, headaches and digestive problems. Not sure if this is due to getting different brands from pharmacy, is there a particular brand which doesn’t have additives ? I would be grateful for any advise 🙏

Iopidine
Hello everyone, is anyone having problem with getting GP to prescibe Iopidine eye drops? My GP is refusing to prescribe it, saying its coming up as a red flag. Does anyone know what it means? This was prescribed by a consultant at hospital on 22nd March, when I was put on a waiting list for presserflo

Trab with sedation
HI, I’m new on here. I have open angle glaucoma in both eyes, with some vision loss. I am going to have a trabeculectomy very soon, as eye drops haven't been that successful, and I'm extremely nervous, so have opted to have sedation. I was wondering how effective the sedation is? Does it just relax

Eye floaters. Any link to Pred or just normal ageing process?
This is not the first time I've had these floating black specks in my vision, mostly on the left which is my weaker eye (very short-sighted on that side). But does long term Pred affect this? And is it a warning sign? I'm currently on 5.5 mg of Pred for GCA /LVV /PMR one year in, feeling ok, though bouts
