Viral Meningitis
Hi everyone I'm super new to any of this so hopefully I get it right. I was diagnosed VM 2 weeks ago but my symptoms have gone on for 5 weeks now. None of the doctors I've seen have figured out what caused my VM. I have done test after test to try to figure it out with no answers. The doctors have

Hypothyroidism courtesy of Lyme Disease. Anyone have natural solutions to the Hypo?
Hi, I'm new in the neighborhood, or as we say in Mexico, la colonia! This is a story of my 11 year old daughter. At the risk of giving too much information (or not enough), I've condensed her story into two versions, short story and novel. For those who would like the complete history please scroll down

Rivaoxaban with 'food'
At patients day they reinforced the need to take NOACs with food and I was feeling smug because i already knew I must otherwise up to 70% of the drug is lost. But as I queued to speak to the pharmacist who had spoken, about how I could cope with a knee problem in the light of warnings against NSAIDs

What to do ?
I am still waiting for my husbands plan to pre-approve dental surgery. I have had this abscess for months. I had decided to continue MTX injections until it was corrected but gave up last week. The injections just make me feel ill. I feel bad enough already. The other stalemate is GO. He relocated to

Boils and pus.
I had a boil on my leg which was for 2-3 days normal. But after the 3rd day it started becoming hard and red. Today I popped it and pus flew out. but there's some water drainage too. And there is some pain where boil appeared and some on middle part of leg ( boil appeared near the heel). Is that normal

Does anyone know if this is contraindicated? I can't find anything definitive on-line.

beginning to feel a bit scared
Hi eveyone, Can anyone make any suggestions as to the next likely drug. I have had RA for around 4 years and it is in pretty well all my joints now and I have a lot of pain, swelling and damage. I have been on NSAIDS, Sulphasaluzide, MTX, MTX and Embrel, MTX and Abatacept and nothing so far has worked

Pain management
I’m not having a good day today. Pain and stiffness has been overwhelming this afternoon, so I just had to lie down. I’ve called in sick for work tomorrow, which is a decision that I have to make ASAP to give them time to rearrange my work load or get appropriate cover. I hate doing it, and it’s a year

Exercise , RA and nsaids ( and mtx!)
Hi. How naughty is it to take nsaids on a bad day so that you can do some exercise? Getting frustrated with mtx. Have taken 9 weeks at 10 mg and a further 8 at 15 mg and the same inflammation and pain is just creeping creeping. Does that mean it is not working? 🙁

How afraid should we be of ticks and Lyme disease?
There has been a surge in cases of the tick-borne infection, with rugby star Matt Dawson the latest public figure to warn of the dangers after needing heart surgery to recover. Here’s the truth about the tiny creatures and the harm they can cause. Infected deer ticks are nothing if not indiscriminate
