Random nerve firings with anxiety
Does anyone experience some brief nerve symptoms like buzzing, burning, flutter, electric shock in various areas like skin on my hands, roots if my teeth, inner thighs under the skin or behind eyes for example? I know anxiety can mimic anything but this sounds like some neuropathy to me or Lyme disease

Barefoot With Lupus
Good morning everyone or evening depending on where you are? As most of you know I have to go barefoot due to lupus skin issues. I have always kept my feet neat and clean especially when going out in public. My wife Laura will even do my nails. She uses polish to cover up the places on my nails (

Anyone tried acupuncture? Did it help?
May have posted my comments in the wrong place initially – so I am reposting, hopefully, correctly. Hi – haven’t written for a while, but I had read a post by Brenmel and it struck a chord. I have had PMR ‘officially’ since Oct. 2015 (14 mos.) – but I’m sure I had it for at least 3 – 4 months prior

Enzymes again...
Izabella Wentz presents more about leaky gut with these practitioners: https://scdlifestyle.com/ The discussion was more than an hour but the portion about digestive enzymes was of interest to me as it was always difficult to choose one and I wasn't sure how helpful the ones I tried have been. Proteolytic

More about the shingles vaccine and its downsides
I have posted before about the shingles vaccine listing PMR as a possible adverse event. https://healthunlocked.com/pmrgcauk/posts/134436076/the-shingles-vaccine-debate-and-pmr Today I found this gem to add to it: http://info.cmsri.org/the-driven-researcher-blog/merck-admits-shingles-vaccine-can-cause-eye-damage-and-shingles

PMR since Sept 2017
After my original post, I think it was PMRpro that asked for a more indepth description of my journey. I have an appointment in December 2017 with my Rheumy and am wondering what questions I should ask. So here is my journey: February 22, 2017 – Saw Dr Gio for pain behind my clavicle bone he ordered

Exposure to shingles.
My daughter, age 43, has been diagnosed with presumptive case of shingles. She's being treated with an antiviral. I had chicken pic, herpes zoster oticus ( same as daughter, coincidence?) And I have had the shingles vaccine? Should I stay away from her and if so for how long? Btw, the other potential

CBD Oil / Cannabis use
Hey everybody, Hope you're having a good day. Over the last few months, I've seen a lot of posts on here about Cannabis and CBD Oil and there seems to be a lot of misconceptions so I thought I'd try and clean things up. Before I can explain why Cannabis and CBD Oil can be effective in helping with RA

Not Coping with a return to work...help!
I haven't been around for a bit, hoping you are all in an ok place. I'd hoped that I was stabilizing from my post operative anxiety. ( Had major surgery in July followed by viral meningitis) I developed GERD 6 weeks ago which was a big setback and it was so bad I was referred to a consultant. He reckons

Can cellulitis infection be very mild?
I have weird redness in my skin, especially after shower. It looks like a rash but it comes and goes. I don't have a fever, but I do experience chills and tingling sensation in lymphedema parts. With this mild symptoms, I don't suppose a trip to a doctor would be much of help. They'll think I'm hypochondriac

Lyme and lupus oh my
I am not on disability as of yet but I was headed that way fast. You see I am an electrician and having to do the physically demanding work was taking me down fast. Had it not been for several higher ups being pushed to retire I would be out of work. I now do a lot of computer work but there are still

Viral Meningitis twice how is this possible?
In 2003 I was struck down with Viral Meningitis and in hospital for 10 days. They told me it was the Herpes Simplex virus that had caused the Meningitis but I had no cold sores or anything at that time. It took around a year to feel better with the main problem being tiredness and this wobbling feeling
