Multivitamins
I mainly use Healthspan for vitamins. Although use Ethical Nutrition for Magnesium Taurate.Their multivitamins sound a good fit for me as would save having to take vit D3 separately BUT I'm on apixaban and the daily dose contains 50 mg turmeric. Rooting about on line I understand curcumin is a small

Multi vitamins - at last some recognition
Hi everyone, I was pleased to see this today - as so many 'authorities' have repeatedly put down the use of multi vitamins as being a waste of money - here is a quite extensive study showing the opposite. I used to see a very highly acclaimed consultant who said exactly the same to me and would test

Too much B12??
Can high serum and active B12 levels (above recommended levels) cause the nerve damage? I recently had to visit my GP clinic and couldn’t get my favourite doctor so, agreed to seeing another doctor. Upon looking at my file he was shocked to see my apparently ‘very high B12’ results. In his opinion, too

Scientists say mystery of how red wine headaches occur may be solved
Thought this could be relevant on at least two grounds: First, so many members say they have issues tolerating alcoholic drinks, especially red wine. And it is specifically in this respect that I am posting. Not ordinary excessive drinking. Second, there are numerous posts here which advocate taking

Pred reduction and feelings of low blood sugar
'Morning everyone! I am using DL's slow taper and have reduced to the dose which has caused flares in the past - between 5mg and 7mg. I have been on 6mg for over a week and have noticed feelings of hunger and the associated feelings of low blood sugar plus, this morning, tightness in the neck muscles

Ozempic
I am type 2 diabetic and went on ozempic as as a weight loss tool and to bring my sugar down. It is working but the side effects don't seem worth it. When my dosage of ozempic goes up The side effects come back. Does anyone have the same issues?

High Cholesterol
Any advice please on my lipid results taken from a finger prick sample when attending an appointment at Our Future Health research programme. They were elevated . Total cholesterol 7.6 mmol/L HDL 1.22 mmol/AL Triglycerides 4.72 mmol/L They did not record LDL unfortunately. It was non-fasting.

Decipher this cholesterol reading please
I know there are plenty of knowledgeable people reading these posts so can you decipher this please Chol 3.5 mmol/L, LDL , HDL 1.78 mmol/L,Chol:HDL ratio , Tri 0.51 mmol/L. I don’t understand this. I’m guessing my cholesterol reading is 3.5, but what are HDL and LDL readings individually?

Trimbow and Blood Sugar Level
Hello everyone. I've been lurking for a while and now have a question for you. Has anyone found their blood sugar level going up when using a Trimbow inhaler? If yes, what if anything did you do about it? Thanks for listening.

Vagus nerve stimulation'
I've posted here a few times to discuss gut health for those of you suffering from PA who also have gut issues. In my quest to find some relief from visceral hypersensitivity and massive intolerances (leading to malabsorption) I began acupuncture treatment this year. I am very lucky to have an anethesist

Cholesterol, Hypothyroidism, Statins
The issue of elevated cholesterol in those with undiagnosed/under medicated hypothyroidism used to be commonly known. Not so now, the information is out there but not sufficiently joined up and prominent in many doctors minds to be a frontline consideration. Thus we need to be well versed so we can

small fibre neuropathy
How long does small fibre neuropathy due to prolonged B12 deficiency for many years take to be reversed, if possible ? After 14 months of self injecting daily and pathology results finally returning to normal (holotranscobalamin and serum B12 normal) and taking Lyrica for my neuropathy the past six

Living with Disc Issues
Hi all. So i herniated my L4-L5 lumbar disc (and minor abnormalities from L2 to L4) from doing too much weight on an inclined leg press and bad form. I also somehow caused bulging discs in my neck (cervical vertebrae, can't remember which ones) from either years of scrunching my neck during workouts

Excessive loss of salt
I have had PMR for five years. At the same time I’ve been on a diuretic for variable blood pressure. I often feel overwhelmingly tired and lacking any sort of motivation. And light headed, symptoms of PMR. I got an urgent message to go on a high salt diet with no other information. I began that diet

Taxotere causing horrible neuropathy on just the 3rd day.
I had my first infusion last Thursday and starting yesterday I've had a severe worsening of my existing neuropathy. I can barely walk. I'm experiencing a wide variety of nerve pains from my waist downward. From nearly total numbness in my toes and feet to rippling pain coursing down from my hips. Sometimes
