hi all, I had a private scan yesterday, baby is active on scan and can feel movement not all day at the moment, I'm 24+4 but the sonographer put the fluid index is 39 and stayed in scan report this is polyhydramnios, has any one had this? I'm booking my gtt in so I'm aware it could be due to that, they have referred me to nhs. I have a midwife appointment later today so will ask them also however I'm worrying slightly that I now might lose this baby. Please does/ did anyone have this and there baby came home? I'm high risk already and will deliver no later than 37 weeks due to previous history 🤞
Thanks all

If you search for Polyhydramnious on the search bar here, you'll find lots of quotations about it and lots of responses, just in case you don't have lots of responses here. I think most cases you just have extra monitoring, if you're high risk already they may not need to make too many adjustments to your care plan xx
Hi there, I had Polyhydramnios with my last two pregnancies due to having gestational diabetes. Both times I had extra scans and extra monitoring by the midwives and doctors. Both babies were born healthy and have thrived with no lasting effects. I had c-sections with both due to pre existing health problems.
The same happened to me. I had scans every 2 weeks and sometimes it showed Polyhydramnios and then other times it was gone. Baby here healthy and was born at 39 weeks 4 days. She’s now a gorgeous little 2 year old ♥️
thanks I had scan yesterday and they said it was mild poly I'm booked in for gtt so will wait for results to come back from that and bloods back in 3week for a further scan. My cervical length has also dropped from 36 to 26 so will have that checked again also. Thanks for the responses
I had this too in my first pregnancy, I had every bloodtest under the sun to find a reason why and a scan every month. In the end there was no reason and I just had more water. On his due date my son was born healthy and well. Apparently my mum had this too, just someting in our DNA.
