Onion and garlic. Starting to feel sane!
I started to read a thread on this forum about food intolerance and have since looked at the Johns Hopkins site which mentions garlic as being a potential food to avoid. About 4-5 years ago I found that even the smallest amount of garlic or onion would make me feel sick within minutes and then my whole

Hi, my mum is diabetic and the thing is really weighing her down all the time. She has been eating according to her doc's recommendations, but her sugar level always goes up from time to time. Right now she's not fit and healthy. We've spent a lot already on her health condition and she's not getting

RLS help??
I don't know yet if this works, but my nurse practitioner just recommended L Theanine 200 mg twice/day up to 1200 mg and Magnesium Threonate 144 mg -- 6 capsules and Magnesium Glycinate up to 6 capsules. I pray it works for me-- and maybe 1 of you!

Interesting observation of Fasting Blood Sugar(FBS)
Couple of days ago, i took FBS reading in my glucometer before and after going to toilet in the morning. Surprisingly, both of these readings were exactly the same. It was 102 mg/dL. Couple of years ago, when i was initially diagnosed T2D, i took similar readings. Before going to toilet, FBS was 159

Difference between type 1 vs type 2 Diabetes.
An informative article published today in difference between type1 and type 2 Diabetes. But what the article does not discuss is the fact that Type 2's at some point of time may have to take insulin since the beta cells stop producing insulin..... However, this can be avoided or prevented if the person

VEGF Inhibitors.
The list below is copied from a paper published last year [1]. As many might recall, untreated tumors outgrow their blood supply. Contrary to popular belief, cancer does not "hate" oxygen. Oxygen insufficiency (hypoxia) results in production of HIF-1alpha (hypoxia-inducible factor-1alpha), which triggers

Diuretics or Paracentesis
Hello, I am curious to know if anyone has experience of lowering tense (6-9ltr) ascites through diuretic and bringing it under control. And if yes, how long it took and which diuretic/dosage was used. My father is currently on Torsemide 10MG once a day only and he has tense ascites (I guess about 7ltrs

Popular hypertension drugs don't increase risk of COVID-19 severity, fatality.
A new Northwestern Medicine study in mice found a widely used class of drugs to treat patients with hypertension, cardiovascular disease and diabetic kidney disease — many of whom are elderly — does not increase the risk of developing a severe and potentially fatal COVID-19 infection, as previously feared

Cauliflower cheese with baked peppery carrots, low carb.
Hi everyone, This is what I had for dinner I forgot to put my baked potato in the oven so this is a low carb meal! I caramelise onions mushrooms in olive oil then add gram flour mix thoroughly and then gradually add milk then add grated strong cheddar cheese with some parsley and add to the par cooked

Have any of you had peripheral neuropathy prior to PD diagnosis?
In 2013 I started experiencing "pins and needles" in my fingers and toes which were diagnosed as "idiopathic peripheral neuropathy" (I also suspect Raynaud's as I've been quite sensitive to cold). Three years later I developed a tremor along with cogwheel rigidity and was diagnosed with PD. During

Oh no!!! Allergic to wk9😩
I’ve hit a massive wall. I attempted wk9 run1 on Saturday and had to stop after 20 minutes as I just had nothing left. I wasn’t too concerned as I’d had a diabetic hypo a couple of hours earlier so it probably wasn’t a good idea to go out anyway. So, off I went this morning with a positive mental

Any recommendations for auto injector?
Thanks to the great help from wedgewood, I've just bought 100 ampoules of B12 from Amazon.de (how ridiculous is the UK?) so I'll be picking up the auto injector from the company in Denmark. I've searched for previous topics and have seen a few recommendations, but just wondered which is the best needle
