PMR with type 2 diabetes
I had type two diabetes before I was diagnosed with PMR and I think this is why my GP wants me to get down as quickly as possible from prednisolone as it affects my blood sugar level. For the last three months I have been going up and down because I just cannot seem to get rid of the pain. I got as

Sensitive post - the end of the journey!
Hi everyone, 6 weeks ago, after 7 rounds of egg collection and 2 transfers (this was my second transfer), my son was born at 37 weeks via c-section due to placenta previa, gestational diabetes, risk of pre-eclempsia and 'my age'. I finally became a mother at 46 (with my 42 year old egg) ! The baby

Wasting—losing muscle mass
I have lost almost 30 lbs since Nov, but I recently learned only 11 pounds were fat. My lower arms and legs are skin and bone at 146 lbs. Am on diabetes meds, and just got off Mounjaro. I am tapering steroids (arms and legs good and bruised). But I understand steroids can cause wasting. Any

I have type two diabetes with PMR and struggling to keep my blood sugar level as low as my GP would like. Anybody out there in the same position?

Prediabetes disgnosis
My AIC is at 6 which is borderline to diabetes. I am taking steps to modify my diet and lose the weight I gained during COVID and while on PRED. I tapered off PRED THIS June. I have a family history of diabetes so I am aware that while my siblings were diagnosed in their 50's I have postponed the problem

HDR BT Salvage Therapy
Hello All I just completed the second BT procedure at MSK. Pain level was maybe 3 but mostly gone the next morning with some soreness. My next step I’m told is bloodwork in 3 months which I’m not concerned about. I am concerned about the 6 month MRI which could show if any cancer still remains. When

Diuretic Question
My hubby had a triple bypass almost two years ago now and is doing well. He is in the usual cocktail of pills including a water pill taken once a day. Our daughter is getting married in a few weeks time in a castle…toilet facilities are available but we will be away from them for quite a while. He

Head pins and needles
Hi all, I hope you're all hanging on in there. I am newly diagnose and wanted to ask if anyone has pins and needles, especially in the head. I am having these weird sensations all over my body, difficulty walking with balance issues, plus vision problems too. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thank

I’m thinking about Benfotiamine.
Hello all of you HU people ~ I am the wife of a PwP, dx 12/29/2020. Our history ( very briefly) ~ left sides tremors and anxiety, mostly. We tried B1 HCL ~ didn’t work. Tried Thiamine mononitrate and that seemed to work for a while Recently I took hubby off all B1. None of them seemed to work

Was diagnosed with ARVD in August 2008 after checking myself into hospital after fainting. After the condition was finally diagnosed I was given an ICD as insurance against a potential arrhythmogenic issue. In 2017 insurance policy paid out when I had a VT storm where ICD fired 60 times in 45 minutes

Tapering well so far.
Down to 8 mgs methylpred. No probs so far. Going down to 6 tomorrow. I realize that this is more of a drop than recommended. I can raise and use both arms and hips haven’t frozen. Can sleep. Also, good news on queasiness from diabetes meds. Changed to Mounjaro from Ozempic. Queasiness less

Sitagliptin
Has anyone ever been prescribed sitagliptin for recurrent implantation failure? I had a biopsy in Coventry (Dr Brosens) as we’ve had 3 failed transfers with top embryos and it has shown results which are more in keeping with recurrent miscarriages (which I’ve never had, never had a positive test) rather
