Excess Vit. B
Good morning everyone, I have a vit. B6 level of 56.8, much higher than the maximum reference level of 18.0. I didn't take a specific supplement but only complex B. We all know that vit.B6 negatively interferes with the proper functioning of Levodopa, so it is necessary for me to drastically reduce

Alpro Almond Milk..... why do they do this? Any chemists have words of advice?
I stopped having cow's milk sometime ago and have been very happy using Alpro Almond milk instead. It contains Vitamins D2, E, B2 and B12 and calcium as shown in the photo. I noticed today that the packaging had changed and thought to myself "I wonder if anything else has?" So I checked. Yes indeed

Low carb diets
On top of everything else I'm now pre-diabetic. I wasn't prior to starting the steroids but as I'm now on 2 mg of Prednisolone a day and have been on 5 mg or less for over a year I suspect that Prednisolone is not the culprit. I've been looking at a diabetic website and it says that low carb is less

Altered sensation after Dilator exercises
Hi all,I would really appreciate some support and guidance as I have a hypertonic pelvic floor muscle (for about 8-9 years). I have tried many approaches over the years but recently return to focus on physiotherapy and dilator stretches - on an intensive approach this time- completing a passive stretch

Fatty Liver disease and Triglyceride levels
Is it common place for people with fatty liver disease to have elevated triglyceride levels? Would you expect triglyceride levels to correlate with a fibroscan CAP score? There's also a particular type of cholesterol associated with the liver called VLDL: Is this a test that an NHS GP can do or is

Positive clonus and lupus
Hello :) I've recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and a lupus overlap. I have now been told I have a positive clonus reflex. I don't know if I should be concerned that it is linked or the physio is just being thorough referring me to my GP for further investigation. If anyone has had

Implant brand preferences?
Hello All, I'm 53 and had a radical prostatectomy in Feb 2023 for Gleason 5+5, stage 3, positive node=1, intraductal carcinoma. Surgeon was unable to spare any nerves and I've got nothing in the area of erections. All providers have agreed I will not regain erectile function on my own, although I'll

Levothyroxine and homeopathic medicines
Hello, I am considering weaning myself off (with GP guidance) of Sertraline as it doesn't work for me regardless of dosage - currently on 50mg. I am considering going down the homeopathic route instead but is it safe to combine levo and natural remedies? If so, are there any that you can't? GP's

Has anyone tried Metformin for PD? I am trying it , but having difficulty with nausea and weight loss. I will stick with it if someone can tell me it is beneficial, but if not , I would rather stop it?

Gym Circuits - good idea?
I manage my fibromyalgia through pacing and exercise so I swim, walk, run and do AquaFit. I have recently also tried to include pilates or yoga for stretching as well. However these classes have been cancelled and there is now a gym circuits class which I have done twice. It has caused me so much pain
