Taxotere causing horrible neuropathy on just the 3rd day.

I had my first infusion last Thursday and starting yesterday I've had a severe worsening of my existing neuropathy. I can barely walk. I'm experiencing a wide variety of nerve pains from my waist downward. From nearly total numbness in my toes and feet to rippling pain coursing down from my hips. Sometimes it's pain radiating from within the bones outward, sometimes it's a sharp stabbing pain in my feet or shins or thighs. I've been experiencing pain in my hips, and serious pain and weakness in my knees and ankles.

On top of that they opted to inject my Xgeva dosage on the same day, which has proven to be a bad choice. My teeth feel as if they're disconnected from my skull and floating, and i have pain radiating back in my jaw towards my ears. The pain is constant, and neither Tylenol or Aleve make a dent in any it. I have an appt with my MO tomorrow and setting another up with my Neurologist ASAP.

Overall, I'm in rough shape. Anybody else have neuropathy come on so strong and so fast?

Please use ice therapy during the infusion. Ice pack to the fingers, head, and feet.

I did all those. But my neuropathy encompasses my whole legs, not just toes or feet. Unfortunately, I also totally spaced and forgot to suck on ice chips, so now my taste buds are shot.

Are your vitamin B6 and B12 in the normal range? When I had Taxotere, my oncologist advised taking those two vitamins even without measuring the levels.
