Hello, i was wondering if anyone had heard of this approach for CLL stage 0 (wait & see) there is multiple study showing that it might be beneficial to combine Rapamycin - Metformin and fasting to induce autophagy ... any advise or link would be appreciated . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eg1GbyOf-SY

Opthalmic consultant recommended selium. Is this the dose I should be taking?
I am already taking 200 ug selium. Yesterday I had an eye check to rule out Ted. After being referred initially by Specsavers to New Medica then on to a hospital to see a consultant. The consultant said she was uncertain and will check again in 3 months but recommended 250 mgs selenium and System Balance

Hashimoto’s?
I had gestational
diabetes
which was
diet
controlled and had an amazing water birth so I don’t have any unresolved trauma or anything. the diabetes and high liver function tests have got worse this past year. Recent bloods through my work healthcare plan show HCA1C as 106!

Anyone had IgG food intolerance tested and successfully eliminated the offenders?
I know there's questions regarding the accuracy of IgG food testing but I had the test done out of interest because I've been considering going dairy free and/or gluten free. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in Oct 2012 but actually believe my issues were due to poor T4>T3 conversion. I'm waiting to

AF and Metformin
My dr just put me on Metformin for prediabetes (only matter of time before I get diabetes) do you think there is any correlation between AF treatments not working and almost being diabetic. I wasn’t treated for diabetes before last week.

Hello everyone
I really hope I’m doing this right and posting in the correct place. This is my first week of joining the weight loss support. For the first few weeks I’m going to follow a very low calorie sole source diet. It seems to be the only way I’ve had success in the past. Starting weight today 88kg Would

Bubbles in urine
Hello, Had a quick question about bubbles in urine. Some days my urine is totally clear. Perfect color no bubbles at all. Other days, usually the first/second time I go in the morning it has some bubbles in it. Can what you eat effect that? I eat a low protein diet, no red meat or poultry. Only

Metabolic surgery in Type-2 Diabetes..
I saw an article in Times of india, Mumbai edition dated 26.11.2022.. ( see below).. More information from internet- The term ileal interposition is the process of replacing the last part of the small intestine and the initial part with the most brief expression. This surgery functions on the principle

RA and Microscopic Colitis
I was diagnosed with RA 5 years ago, however I have recently been diagnosed with Microscopic Colitis too! I have also been tested for Coeliac disease and my blood results came back as 0.3u/ml which was the low end of the reference scale (I believe this result is possibly bordering a low immunoglobulin

Newbie and confused. Functional B12 deficiency?
I note that this can be a factor in blood sugar control (I was diagnosed with type 2
diabetes
8 years ago, despite always having a healthy "clean"
diet
and exercising) and I had to have an MRI on my brain 2 years ago, which showed I have cerebral small vessel disease, which can also be linked to low

Don't Delay Too Long
On this and other forums I see many posts by those who do not want to take medication for raised BP and/or cholesterol and/or HbA1c (an indicator of
diabetes
). Often they say they will address this by
diet
and exercise but fail to do so in the first six months but promise to try harder!

Calprotectin level 1500
Have been prescribed Prednisolone tablets, Octasa tablets and Ad-Cal. Shocked at how many I have to take every day, on top of the meds I already take.
