Hi all Having tested negative on the bloods for coeliac my GP recommended that I trial a gluten-free diet to see if things improved. They have: my chronic (20+ years) whole body itching has all but disappeared and my intestines seem a lot happier. Around the same time as going gluten free I also went

If I were to go gluten free for 3 weeks, would this be enough time to see if I have an intolerance?
I have had chronic constipation my whole life, bad dry eyes for the last few years and have a b12 and vitamin d deficiency. I have had the blood test for coaliac disease as my gran had it and I even had the endoscopy and biopsy done which both came back negative however I know you can still have an

Are Hashis allowed a little gluten?
I'm on vacation and can't find gluten free food. Does a little gluten (bread, cake) destroy my gluten free diet? If so for how long? I'm back home in 2 weeks and will resume my gluten free diet. What are the consequences of occasional lapses into gluten foods? My TPO (latest 273, was 120) and TG (latest

When is the right time for DBS surgery?
I've been given conflicting advice as to when is the optimal time to have DBS surgery. I consider myself to be fairly high functioning ie, I still drive and work full-time. But now I walk with a pronounced limp. I can barely speak above a whisper and can't even hold a pen let alone write my name. Things

DBS self adjusting
For those that have DBS, how many of you have been instructed by your programmer to adjust the voltage intensity? How about pulse width or frequency?

Advice strongly needed for GP appt in morning tia
Having been unwell since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism in Jan 07, being so ignorant of the problem. I truly believed that all I needed to do was take my Levothyroxine n that was it, I was cured. Since then I've suffered with so many infections, arthritis & degenerative discs in my spine, fatigue

Hair after DBS surgery
I realize that hair growth is not high priority to people who have a disabling disease like Parkinson's, but I am curious to know how long after DBS surgery it was before the hair over the incision started to grow back. I really am not overly vain about appearance, but I am tired of wearing scarves

Hi. This is my first post.
My husband is about to have a blood test for celiac disease. He has been been following a gluten free diet for a week and is already starting to feel a bit better. Will the blood test be accurate if he has not had gluten for a week? His doctor is adamant that it will be accurate as the antigens remain

Shoulder pain (diaphragmatic adhesions)
I have tried painkillers (no use), stretching,
deep
heat, wheat bags,
freeze
sprays, the lot. Does anyone have any tips to ease the pain? It is particularly bad at night and I'd kill for a method to help me get to sleep right now!
