Has anyone tried a gluten free diet which I have been advised may help with the severity of the behcet flares, especially joint pain.

DBS - STN or GPi?
I have been told by my neuro-team that STN DBS would be risky due to some bouts of depression I had last year and also the compulsive behavioural episodes I suffered while on Pramipexole. They have recommended GPi DBS - has anyone on here undergone this procedure and, if so, was it successful? Many

Sierra Ferris
I had DBS two years ago, it doesn't appear to have helped a great deal. I live in the UK and am considering a consultation with Sierra, just wondered if anyone has seen this lady and their experiences. I was diagnosed 10years ago at 40

Can going gluten free cause gluten sensitivity?
Hi all I started a gluten-free diet in January (at the same time as going low carb for disordered blood sugars) and have seen a wonder decrease in GI issues and the severe whole body and eye itching that has plagued me for as long as I can remember. I have previously tested negative for coeliac disease

Low Carb Gluten Challenge
Hi all Having tested negative on the bloods for coeliac my GP recommended that I trial a gluten-free diet to see if things improved. They have: my chronic (20+ years) whole body itching has all but disappeared and my intestines seem a lot happier. Around the same time as going gluten free I also went

If I were to go gluten free for 3 weeks, would this be enough time to see if I have an intolerance?
I have had chronic constipation my whole life, bad dry eyes for the last few years and have a b12 and vitamin d deficiency. I have had the blood test for coaliac disease as my gran had it and I even had the endoscopy and biopsy done which both came back negative however I know you can still have an

Are Hashis allowed a little gluten?
I'm on vacation and can't find gluten free food. Does a little gluten (bread, cake) destroy my gluten free diet? If so for how long? I'm back home in 2 weeks and will resume my gluten free diet. What are the consequences of occasional lapses into gluten foods? My TPO (latest 273, was 120) and TG (latest

When is the right time for DBS surgery?
I've been given conflicting advice as to when is the optimal time to have DBS surgery. I consider myself to be fairly high functioning ie, I still drive and work full-time. But now I walk with a pronounced limp. I can barely speak above a whisper and can't even hold a pen let alone write my name. Things

DBS self adjusting
For those that have DBS, how many of you have been instructed by your programmer to adjust the voltage intensity? How about pulse width or frequency?

Advice strongly needed for GP appt in morning tia
Having been unwell since being diagnosed with hypothyroidism in Jan 07, being so ignorant of the problem. I truly believed that all I needed to do was take my Levothyroxine n that was it, I was cured. Since then I've suffered with so many infections, arthritis & degenerative discs in my spine, fatigue
