Cranial pressure pain with inflight cabin pressure changes. DBS question
Several days ago I was landing in a Bombadier Q400 aircraft. It is a new state of the art turboprop 88 passenger plane. The flight was perfect but for the last several minutes. The cabin pressure was not well controlled and I felt as if my head would implode. The pain was severe and it lasted for

Personal question about BM changes
I started a complete gluten free diet about three days ago. I already notice I feel better than I have in a long time. I also notice however that I'm having frequent sometimes painful bouts of gas and mucous BMs. Is this usual?

Diet and Eating Habits
What have you added to your diet or taken away that has contributed to you feeling better? Do you find eating little and often helpful? Does anyone find the probiotic drinks helpful (ie. Actimel)? Since discovering I have Hashimoto's (10yrs Hypo) I am trying to add more fruit, veg, fish, water, nuts

Rytary for DBS
I had Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery in Feb 2015. Very successful since my main symptom was tremor which was totally controlled by Dopamine (generic carbodopa/levadopa). That is the situation the DBS surgery is designed for. I decided to try Rytary and haven't found the right dosage yet.

Gluten Free diet skew test results?
Can anyone tell me - does a Gluten Free diet skew blood test results for the antibodies tested to check for Hashimoto's?

positive blood test, negative biopsy, b12, ferratin and thyroid
Dear all, I've just found old blood tests results to compare with my current picture. In december 2010 I had a positive IgA tissue transglutaminase antibody of 162 u/ml (reference range less than 15) and a negative IgA endomysial antibody. A biopsy showed no signs of coeliac disease and I also had

Recommendations for books/websites about Hashimotos
I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos and am trying to find out as much information as possible. I have recently bought a book "The Root Cause' which I am working my way through, but am finding it a bit daunting as it seems to suggest gluten free diet, dairy free diet, egg free diet, low iodine, no

NEUPRO PATCH+ ROPINIROLE AND FALLING DOWN MORE
My husband just switched neurologists after 18 years. Was feeling that previous doc was really not paying attention to needs and concerns. We were very happy with the new doc and he made lots of changes in meds. My husband is now taken 8mg of ropinirole , 8 mg of carb/levo 25/100 and wearing a 2 mg Neupro

Deep brain stimulation surgery
my doctor said that I would be a good candidate for Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. I am very hesitant to do this. Hoping I could hear from some of yo who has actually had the procedure. Or maybe some one you know very close to you that has had it. Hope you can help me. Deanna ( kachimom@comline.com

finally had to get on steroids...but, it is not bad!
I have been doing anything possible to avoid steroids... from gluten free diet, papaya leaf extract, to Chinese medicine... but Monday I started bleeding... a lot. ( even though I had stopped my menst. cycle 4 months ago)... it decided to visit me again with a vengeance. Needless to say a quick trip

Gluten free
Hi all, After two years of having RA and no joy with medications, I have yet again been taken off all meds whilst they try to sort out the optic neuritis I have; which is on the mend (500mg steroids a day helps a lot lol). Luckily my next appointment with the Rheumy consultant is in the first week

Do I have Hashimoto's or CFS?
That's the question I am pondering over at the moment. Hope that some of you may be able to offer some wisdom – to help out, this is the story so far (this is long – very sorry!): On 19 February 2015 I started to feel like I was coming down with a viral infection. There were things going round the office

Am I anxious because I'm sick or am I sick from anxiety?
So this post may be kind of long, but I'm hoping someone may have a similar experience and could she'd some light. I am a 21 year old male who has had health issues, mainly GI (stomach) issues for about 6 years now. I also have severe anxiety and depression as well as emetophobia, or the fear of throwing
