Hi there! Been out of the loop lately as I've been sleeping a lot! A bit of walking here n there! Was feeling good one day and decided to walk 4 blocks! It was a beautiful day, so I decided later that day it'd be nice for another walk! So of course I had to walk another 7-8 blocks! Remember I have only

Professor Khamashta and Gluten
Hello, I have APS (actually most of my paternal family has APS). I'm curious about the posts mentioning Professor Khamashta advocating a gluten free diet. I'm not doubting it, only he was my doctor for a number of years, and I never heard him once mention it. I was also a private patient of his, and

I have recently started B12 injections for pernicious anaemia and I am a coeliac. Ive been very interested in finding out the root cause as to why Ive developed this at age 46. My health has gradually declined over the past three years and when I ended up in hospital with an iron count of 1 and ferritin

Scared for surgery
I've been suffering with severe cramps since the age of 15 (now 20) and have been told by my GP and an endo specialist to take the pill to help my symptoms. I'm worried that by avoiding surgery that it will get worse. The pill helps a lot, and I only get mild, occasional symptoms now. I'm also wanting

I have Hashimotos and hashitoxicosis and I eventually plucked up the courage to book yet another appointment at our GP surgery but this time with a female doctor who I thought would be more understanding. I explained about all of my symptoms and once again, I have been told that they are nothing to do

DBS for PwP who have low tremor. Request for others to share experience. Impact of lower frequencies.
(Parkinsons is so different in different people. I have over nine years never come across anyone with a condion like mine. For example, I know a guy who finds walking forward extremely difficult but he can run backwards faster than people without PD can run forwards. I started this post after responding

Leaky Gut / Food Intolerances
I am wondering whether I have developed some food intolerances. Never had any problems before but now being post meno I think my body has changed and for a month or so now my tummy is a little icky. Have been on a gluten free diet since beginning of the month I am aware that Leaky Gut is quite common

Some unexpected good news
I have PMR which was diagnosed in 2009 when I was 54. It's the usual story of starting at 15 mg of prednisolone and decreasing very slowly with sticking points at 10, 7 and 5 mg. I have also had problems with tendonitis, gout and pain around the rib cage. Despite all this I have managed to stay active

Hashitoxicosis help please
Me again! I have now been taking my B12 complex and B12 lozenges for 2 weeks and have also changed my Levothyroxine to night time about 3-4 hours after any food. I keep expecting to have a sudden burst of energy or feel better one morning, but it doesn't seem to be happening!! I think the worst thing

Gluten free diet
Hi I use Ropinerole which I find usually helps provided I take them an hour or so before I go to bed but have been reading online various articles suggesting that a gluten free diet can alleviate RLS. Just wondered whether anyone has any experience of or thoughts on this??
