Hi, I have GORD and according to my GP some degree of IBS C. My constipation is kind of controlled.Still finding out which foods are giving me trouble. I know some don't agree with me like tomatoe sauce, cucumbers and peppers. Tried gluten free diet for 2 weeks but no change. My main symptoms are the typical from GORD (which is kind of relieved by omeprazole) and bloating and the worst is the nausea and dizzines that only gets relieved by not eating hence I lost some weight. The whole thing is really frustrating. Anyone has the same problem? Thanks for reading.

Nausea and dizzines caused by food??
Have you been referred to a fodmap trained dietitian specifically to find out if you have any fodmap intolerances? GERD can be due to a build of gases in the system produced by gut bacteria when you eat certain foods. The pressure builds up in the system and weakens the valve that sits between the stomach and the throat allowing the contents of the stomach to flow into it. That pressure can also give you a feeling of nausea. Also best to raise the head of your bed by 20cm with plastic risers available on line to keep the contents of your stomach there overnight.
Thanks for your reply. I haven't been refered to a dietician but my GP had said to have a look at the FODMAP diet sheet. I sleep with extra pillows but I'll have a look at the plastic risers you say. Thanks again.
