Update PMR 2 months since diagnosis
As with many others in theirs mid 50s, the previous active me was out walking/
cycling
/exercising all the time, I walk every day, max. 3-4 miles (I'm hoping you don't say this is too much - not sure I can cope mentally without my walks!). Yoga (at home) has been a life-saver for me.

Week 2 complete, but worried about my knees
I guess a trip to the physio is on the cards, while I switch to swimming and
cycling
to keep myself moving.

. Diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my left hip 9 months ago, but X-ray was normal and my symptoms were less typical (pain down outer side of thigh and shin; none in hip).

Last time I went “running” was over 30 years ago - stopped after finding out I was pregnant with my twin boys … several years later and I’ve taken up other sports in particular
cycling
both outdoor and indoor virtual (Zwift).

Long time no see, a brief update from me and a daughter with a diagnosis…
My MH is better, lots of my symptoms have gone, I’ve held down a very physical job for the last 2+ years, my mental function has improved enough that I’ve completed 10+ home learning courses alongside my job and my balance even improved enough that I was able to start

Update 7.7
Has been
cycling
up to 2.93 on the current Besremi dose. Do want to monitor Neut > 1.00. I am inclined to increase the Besremi dose. Would prefer trying a small dose increase from 150mcg to 175mcg and monitor response. Next two doses would be 11/22 and 12/06.

Is it harder when your older?
I bought a bike and joined the local
cycling
club and I’m fitter but fatter! I seem to put on weight without any real change to my diet. Is it my metabolism? Does it slow to the extent that even after a ride of 50 miles I find I haven’t lost 1lb!!

And it is the same at the weekend as he likes to go
cycling
. He does do most of the cooking in the evening though, which I appreciate. I know I shouldn't compare, but I see other partners doing loads and most importantly wanting to.

Need advice on number of reps for a senior
I had not been lifting much until about a month ago; my emphasis had been on cardio on the rowing machine at the gym, almost every day for just over one hour and, more recently I have added outdoor
cycling

Weary with toil, I haste me to my bed, the dear repose for limbs with travel tired, (Sonnet 27)
Thankfully that didn’t materialise and we decided to take some control and informed them we didn’t need a lift as we would be
cycling
out.

Rapid androgen
cycling
, however defined, is not something one saves for later imo. Incidentally, that phrase - rapid androgen
cycling
- brings to mind the work of Howard Scher [3] (2006) When Abiraterone and Enzalutamide were approved, I was briefly tempted.

Thoughts on preventing more arryrhmias. Now 2 ablations down, on having been persistently in AF
Plus I have felt my return to exercise fitness has been slow, still behind older or v average runner/
cycling
friends. Am also definitely not over pushing myself. He said he thought the 1.25mg might be putting the breaks on. Yet such a low dose, may not be doing much for my heart.

T3 Mania or just better energy?
I haven’t been diagnosed with bipolar, but have been told by psychiatrist I have bipolar tendencies due to my thyroid (rapid
cycling
bipolar) and the DIO 1 and 2 mutations. I noticed looser stool today and had to go more than once (apologies for too much info🙈) .
