Day one
I've been walking the dog twice a day for 20/30 minutes, and this is day three of
cycling
3 miles. I need to lose about 1 to 2 stone, and my goal is my nieces wedding in January.

Running whilst on holiday - A big no no or just frowned upon
Me and the family are at present watching
cycling
at the Sir Chris hoy velodrome then off to Balloch this afternoon till Friday. being up in Scotland is so peaceful. The downside is the constant eating out.

I listen to Laura on the stamina podcast saying to lift your legs as if they're in a
cycling
motion and I'm thinking, gosh, I can just about lift it off the floor.

Minor tech fail = running free and easy
I thought about
cycling
my feet, and how my feet were landing and looking at least ten paces ahead. 30 minutes later I’d run my joint fastest/furthest distance ever.

50 Miles in July!
I really feel like a runner 🏃♀️ signed my son (6) up for a 10 mile
cycling
challenge. He wanted to do 5 but I reckon he will easily manage 10 if not 20! I’m hoping to do another 50 in August due to working more hours then aiming for 75 in September!

Chest compression pain but only at rest
I'm a 65 year old male, 73kg, retired nearly 3 years ago, reasonably fit and pretty active (but not an athlete), I got into
cycling
a couple of years ago and currently do about 100 miles a week.

Post operative progress
I am 69, and thought I was extremely healthy,
cycling
at least 100 miles/week. Then suddenly, with no warning, I had a cardiac arrest whilst spectating at an event. Fortunately there were people around me who understood cpr!! I survived thanks to them and some great cardiac medics in hospital.

Brought a bike!
Also any advice for someone getting back into
cycling
after years away from it? It all comes back to you but I forgot just how exhausting it is!

R1 felt OK, maybe thanks to the
cycling
I do now and again, R2 felt better, though had to leave 2 days as was very achey after number 1. Only left 1 day between 2 and 3 as wasn’t so achey, but 3 felt the hardest. I can see it’s important to take it slowly.

B12 injections not working
I was still holding down the waitressing job, but had stopped
cycling
to work. By the end of each shift the tiredness left me feeling as if I needed to throw up and I would cry with the pain in my eyes from trying to keep them open.

W8 Revisited: Take that, 28 mins :-)
Running as
cycling
, that's the ticket. I'm not getting much push off from my back foot yet. That's something to focus on another day. But I tighten my core and "run tall" and I'm away. Nearly 24mins done now. Feels good.

Risk/benefits for knees....
The running segment starts at one minute in, morphs into
cycling
and lasts approximately 10 minutes.

Currently walking a 5k 5-6 times a week on treadmill but thinking about
cycling
to work a couple of times a week. It’s 16 miles one way. GP said not to lift heavy weights and do ‘moderate exercise’ 3-5 times a week. But how much is too much?
