Exercise?
For me, I've taken quite a shine to
cycling
and I now ride 4-7 hours a week. I really enjoy riding and have discovered "indoor
cycling
" where you put your bike on a turbo trainer and ride in virtual worlds using online platforms (I use Zwift).

Mitral Valve Regurgitation
Last year I had to stop
cycling
because it felt like my lungs were going on fire, causing me to be in extreme pain and cough tasted like metal. I was also suffering with chronic nausea, fatigue, brain fog, breathlessness. Over the past few months my issues have been getting even worse!

Perhaps I’m just not supposed to be a runner!
Cycling
is my passion, but I was hoping to be able to enjoy running (particularly on days when
cycling
is not an option) Perhaps I am just not cut out to be a runner.

Elaine's GCA Journey - all the way to Club Zero! And some advice on working with GCA...
My Journey with GCA: I was almost 51 years of age and about to go on a
cycling
holiday. I began to get shooting pains in my face and Trigeminal Neuralgia was diagnosed. I took the medication and the pain stopped. Six weeks passed and I knew I was not well.

Manage relapse without steroids
Did 10-15 mins yoga most mornings and some light
cycling
. Now from Nov 2020 I am having a significant flare up, suspect I gave my shoulders a bit too much of a work out. Has anyone managed flare ups with NSAIDS only? I would really like to avoid more steroids.

Bob & Jean Anderson’s classic book about STRETCHING
But I also finally tidied up some book shelves, and re-found my favourite stretching book that got me through my younger days with all my
cycling
and tennis. I don’t think it’s in print anymore, and when I started running, I actually looked for an Bob Anderson app 🤣 ,- to no avail.

Can you do intense exercise with RLS?
Having largely recovered from a back issue over two years ago, I’ve been
cycling
a lot more but as I have got fitter and more able to do longer rides and steeper hills I have found my RLS seems to have got a lot worse. Simply stopping
cycling
for a week allows it to reduce.

Tri-cycling Rigevidon
Hi, My doctor prescribed rigevidon for pains i've been having during my cycle. From ovulation until the end of my period I was experiencing cramps and the odd bit of spotting. The doc checked me out and said that all seemed fine but she would refer me for an ultrasound to check out if there's anything

Quietly Hopeful
His speech is improving daily, he has this week started doing daily walking and is up to 16m with some support on either side, and yesterday was up to
cycling
2 miles on a specialist bike. He's no longer being moved in a hoist and is using a transfer board.

Rest day activities
Also, can you do other aerobic activities on the rest day such as
cycling
? (I'm slow at that too!)

Anyway, took to road

How do I recognize if/when my meds are effective?
Doc and I have been
cycling
through meds and doses trying to find that sweet spot of effective treatment w/o side effects since then. My question is, how do I know when it's working?

Interesting hypothesis about motor impairment
For example, I will do more high cadence
cycling
on a spinning bike with a flywheel on low resistance and walking and running fast downhill. Is there anyone that knows other similar exercises that could be beneficial?

Week 9 Run 3! I DID IT!! I GRADUATED!! CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!
In terms of my physical health, I already feel notably fitter and I've lost some weight in the last couple of months too (I've been eating better and walking and
cycling
too) :) I find walking my dog on long hilly walks far easier and I've found my stamina during my karate training has improved too!

Flare? or adrenals complaining, any advice please
I’ve had no pmr pain at all, stiff leg muscles but then I’d had an hours
cycling
and an hours golf. So what was that? I’ve had pmr 12 months now, I’m wondering do pmr symptoms change over time or was it because adrenals are asleep, Thanks.

PMR or not PMR- if not what is it?
Last summer we went to Scotland and did lots of walking and
cycling
. Something I used to do a lot of. I found that long hikes of 12 miles I suffered really bad leg cramps - felt ischaemic almost- real sickening pain - and intense pain.
