Therapist dilemma
since my gf ended things two weeks ago, I’ve had dreams of her leaving me in different ways every night. I wake up very sad and that feeling lingers for the rest of the day. This is just added on top of the “regular” major depressive episode I’m in the midst of. I’ve known I need to find a therapist

Hi all, I am new to this platform. I am 24 and a graduate student. I think I've always had trouble with anxiety and depression, but it didn't receive recognition until last year. I've been looking into counseling, but I've had trouble finding someone who is available for new clients. Currently, I'm

New Here and looking to discuss Long Term PTSD
I am obviously new to this forum and would like to connect with others, especially women, who have been living with and have been treated for PTSD and depression. I won't go into my whole sordid story, but it involves early childhood trauma, alcoholism, sexual and physical abuse, a lifetime of bad relationships

Hello to you all.....
I have been helped a lot by
counselling
from the pain clinic who really do understand. My GP usually looks to the stars when I walk in. Lol. Have just had my PIP assessment which has left me feeling like a liar and a fraudster.

Has counselling helped anyone?
I’ve not had any
counselling
and I’m starting to think maybe it will help. Has anyone had
counselling
? What did/didn’t help about it? How easy was it to get?

11 years and counting, but still not under control
In between all this we've had
counselling
, for Anxiety, Depression and medication to help, read books and tried exercise, some helped but she has come off all that and now is solely on Thyroxin & Statins 10mgs. Where do we go from here ? If a Specialist, which one is any good ?

Nine months after...
Hello Friends, I think it's been a couple of months since I have been on this site. Sandy has been gone 9.5 months now. It's quite a journey learning to live without him. I'm doing better than I had expected. Of course, Covid on top of everything just muddies the waters. Who knows what the feelings would

Depression or Mid-life crisis?
I don't know what is going on with me. The last couple months I have not been myself. I'm so sad, down, and just feel empty. My partner and kids don't know what to do with me. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow to talk about medications because what I'm on isn't working. I hate my job and I now have some

I have been going to regular

2nd opinion rejected
This referral was rejected on the grounds that they said ‘there’s nothing they can do for me’ and that i ‘need to seek
counselling
for phantom pain’. They never met me or contacted me! Not even a consultation! So how can they possibly reject and refuse to help me?!

Pet Loss & Depression
I have to put my 10 1/2 year old dog down in 3 weeks. He has a serious heart condition, which we have managed pretty well over the last 2 years. But he has dropped almost half of his body weight this summer and has serious gum disease. I know it is the best time, before he is in too much more pain.

a little bit about me
Hey everyone. I decided to reach out for help from people who actually understand what it is like living with a panic disorder. I find it hard to even leave my house anymore. I cannot control my head. I won't even be panicking and I will THINK about panicking and start panicking. I am not one that does

Have you been offered remote counselling?
In some instances, remote
counselling
has been offered via telephone or online. Has this been offered to you and if you wouldn't mind sharing, was this helpful? Chloe<3
