Have you been offered remote counselling?

As we are all aware, due to the current health concerns many Services have either stopped. In some instances, remote counselling has been offered via telephone or online.

Has this been offered to you and if you wouldn't mind sharing, was this helpful?

I had some Skype counselling which I arranged myself privately. It went well to begin with but then the counsellor seemed to forget some key things I'd told her which rather put me off. I don't know how much different it might have been face to face. The connection wasn't always good. It's worth a try though.

Hi Karen klr31

Sorry to read that the counsellor forgot important things, that's disappointing, but hopefully it won't happen again. Maybe this was their first SKYPE experience and it will improve, but please do speak up and tell them if you come across this again.

Not too sure if you will repeat it but do let us know how it went if you do x

No, she was an experienced counsellor and busy on Skype. I stopped it a few weeks ago as we seem to have gone as far as we could. Unsure if it helped or not. I felt worse for a while after and am only just getting my equilibrium back.

Oh dear Karen klr31

That doesn't sound very positive though I do know this sometimes happens having reopened memories, not great for you if it's taken awhile to get back to 'normal' x
