Hmm, week 9 didn't go quite to plan! About to try again...
After doing run 1 I didn't get the chance to run again before going away last week for a few days to Munich doing the sights and Christmas markets. Unfortunately too much walking played havoc with my planter fasciitis. I had a cortisone injection in my heel two days ago (be prepared for pain!) it seems

Frozen shoulder
Has anyone else got or had a frozen shoulder? As well as all the pain from the fibro I now have a frozen shoulder and its agony, the pain going down my arm is unbearable and the only pain killers I can tolerate are paracetamol which don't really touch it. Sleeping now is almost impossible. My doctor

PREDNISONE TAPERING
Do to a recent flare up after a Remicade treatment, roughly a week later, not because the Remicade. I had to increase my prednisone up to 32 mgs from 29 to where I was trying to drop it from 30mgs. I call it the itch, the feeling when you know the ulcerations are coming through and you cant stop them

Thanks so much for the info about anaethesia ..... apparently now not yet ....have to have cortisone injections in my hips first! :(
Thanks for all the supportive information.... wonderful people ...fab site. I had a second appointment to see my GP (earlier was with registrar) . My GP says no op until all other avenues explored, so cortisone injections on Saturday .... don't like the sound of these (my GP is a bit brutal to be honest

Does anyone take magnesium as a supplement and has it helped your PMR symptoms?
I had a bad week with very sore muscles and while searching on the Internet found references to magnesium supplements helping with muscle recovery and cramps among other things. There was also mention of cortisone depleting magnesium from the body. Magnesium is also recommended for treating insomnia

Surprising reaction from rheumatologist today!
I was referred back to the rheumatologist by my GP---Cue Dr Jekyll (I saw him as Mr Hyde last time)! Whereas 3 months ago I was dismissed almost summarily with "No PMR " on this occasion I was even offered Cortisone injections in both shoulders---No PMR, so why would I need them? In the event I turned

Has any -one been treated for arthritis of the sacral-iliac joint?. Ann
I believe surgery is impossible but a cortisone injection is a possibility. So far the pain has been intermittent but now it is there every time I walk.I have recently been prescribed bisopropol. Could this be making the inflammation worse?

I got treated for red swollen fingers whilst on holiday in Tenerife and I need to find out what treatment it was that they gave me.
On advice, on holiday I went to a Spanish teaching hospital to get my fat red fingers checked out. I am still mystified about the treatment given because of doubt about whether they were actually doing what they said. First off they had no clue about the cause but said that they wanted to give me

Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia
Hello,I'm new to the site and wondered if anyone has had success with treatment with scalp injections. I am concerned that it may be somewhat of a health risk injecting cortisone into your scalp and then finding out down the road that it actually did contribute to some health problem.

Adrenal insufficiency question for everyone who may have it....
Hi Everyone.... Wondering how many of you with APS also have adrenal insufficiency? I've found a few links on this in doing some research but not a lot. Next week am having major surgery and the fact that I take cortisone for my adrenal insufficiency has become a major issue with the hospital

Maybe have APS...not sure
Hi, all! First I just have to say that this is the best website that I have come across so far. Reading everyone's stories and comments helps me know that I am not the only one struggling. Anyway, I’m not sure if I should feel relief, fear or both. Back on 2/27/13 I had my fourth miscarriage since
