I have been Restless Legs Syndrome for a long time. I have been controlling it with Pramipexole or Mirapex .25 for many years. About a year and a half ago I took a pretty nasty fall and tore my meniscus in 2 places. One min. I was walking, the next I landed square on both knees on the concrete. I was

Visit to Rheumatologist 30/12
Firstly I trust everyone has enjoyed the Christmas & New Year festivities. This time I went into the meeting feeling buoyed up by the news that all blood tests were normal ( for me, that is!), BP was 126/85 with pulse of 56, I have LOST one kilo in the last month AND I am down to 6mg Pred. I asked whether

Hmm, week 9 didn't go quite to plan! About to try again...
After doing run 1 I didn't get the chance to run again before going away last week for a few days to Munich doing the sights and Christmas markets. Unfortunately too much walking played havoc with my planter fasciitis. I had a cortisone injection in my heel two days ago (be prepared for pain!) it seems

Frozen shoulder
Has anyone else got or had a frozen shoulder? As well as all the pain from the fibro I now have a frozen shoulder and its agony, the pain going down my arm is unbearable and the only pain killers I can tolerate are paracetamol which don't really touch it. Sleeping now is almost impossible. My doctor

PREDNISONE TAPERING
Do to a recent flare up after a Remicade treatment, roughly a week later, not because the Remicade. I had to increase my prednisone up to 32 mgs from 29 to where I was trying to drop it from 30mgs. I call it the itch, the feeling when you know the ulcerations are coming through and you cant stop them

Does anyone take magnesium as a supplement and has it helped your PMR symptoms?
I had a bad week with very sore muscles and while searching on the Internet found references to magnesium supplements helping with muscle recovery and cramps among other things. There was also mention of cortisone depleting magnesium from the body. Magnesium is also recommended for treating insomnia

Surprising reaction from rheumatologist today!
I was referred back to the rheumatologist by my GP---Cue Dr Jekyll (I saw him as Mr Hyde last time)! Whereas 3 months ago I was dismissed almost summarily with "No PMR " on this occasion I was even offered Cortisone injections in both shoulders---No PMR, so why would I need them? In the event I turned
