Post holiday run🤣🏃♀️🤣
Well I’m just back from holiday and decided that after all my walking I would try a little run. Jumped out of bed eager and got ready and out in 5 minutes. Cool this morning but dry so headed off for my usual slow mile and half. ( still waiting for my cortisone injection so easy does it atm). Having

The Saga Continues after PMR
I have had no symptoms of PMR for almost three years. However, my legs were never the same. They always felt heavy and it was really an effort to walk a long way. There was no pain but only discomfort. In April I started having severe pain on the sides of both legs and was diagnosed with bilateral

PMR and carpel Tunnel
Hi, I have had PMR for about a year. I was on 15 Mg of prednisone. I was able to reduce to 6 1/2 MG but still have some pain especially at night. I have been splitting my dose am (7am) and pm (5:30). I started methotrexate 10 MG once a week for two months. Last night I had a major flair at 2am and took

Anyone with Lupus experience upper back pain, scapula pain, and upper arm pain?
I was diagnosed with lupus 7 years ago. I have never had such bad pain in my upper arms, upper back between and above shoulder blades and in scapulas and sides of ribs below armpits. Has anyone had this? What is weird is I only started feeling this pain after receiving the Moderna vaccine. I’m not

Great news
Saw consultant this morning and don’t need new hip yet. Woo hoo. Going to give me a cortisone injection And I can carry on running so long as I’m careful. So I’m just going to take it easy for the next few weeks slowly increasing time I’m running. Happy running 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️🏃♀️

I can’t not emphasis this enough Anyone starting Buprenorphine / Subutex Or the micro dose version Temgesic. You will not get this advice from your doctors but I urge you to start in this manor. Buy a pill cutter and nightly cut you sublingual tablet into about 8 /10 tiny little crumbs. These medications

anyone experience a torn menincus in their knee ?
I fell twice over the winter on ice and both times my left knee bent in half while my right leg went straight out. Both times I got up and was relieved to not feel pain or injury. All winter I walked 3 mile almost every day. Come spring I started pushing my grandchildren in a stroller up and down hills

Torn rotator cuff
I fell on the ice in December. It tore my rotator cuff. Been going to physical therapy and had 2 cortisone injections. First shot helped some second did nothing. I still have terribile pain in my shoulder. The weather effects it a lot. I know when it’s going to rain. I am afraid it’s not healing. I

Comparison of systemic corticosteroids
This morning I accidently opened this site I'd bookmarked some time ago. As occasionally there are questions about the action of different medications I thought it would be of interest, although its focus is on treating skin conditions. It compares cortisone, hydrocortisone, prednisone, methylprednisolone

Trigger finger & costochondritis from Acalabrutinib?
Hi Everyone My trigger finger recurred after cortisone jab in February. Recently developed symptoms similar to costochondritis (painful sternum and tight chest muscles) after vaccination and lasted over 2 months. Called Pharmacist in Biologics and he hadn’t come across such incidents. Wonder if anyone

Axial Spa / Ankylosing Spondy diagnosis
Hi all, I am 43 years old, have had all the major symptoms of AS since my mid 20s and flares have ramped up over the years. I do not have a diagnosis. When I last saw the rheumatologist 6 years ago I had no inflammation in sacriollic joint etc so told just wear and tear. This despite the same guy hitting

Hi, I have been getting chronic pain in the left bottom ribs and back at same point for last 2 & 1/2 years. It initially started with a bad chest infection/ cough for 6 weeks. The pain comes in episodes which lasts for few weeks or months. All X-rays/reports come normal and even got checked for cancer

Bursitis / groin pain
Can anyone tell me how to stop this horrible pain in my hip and groin due to bursitis? It has been constant for over 2 weeks now and am going out of my mind. Is my only alternative having a cortisone shot? I over extended myself by painting the living room and dining room, it took us a week but my
